Used to be a great gym, there is a good selection of equipment, but they have not maintained it. You can never find clips, the car park floods all the time, it's over subscribed so getting on treadmills etc can be a challenge at peak times especially as so many don't work or are not safe you can feel the tread collapsing on some Some machines need some tlc as they are 'sticky' see photos for examples. No visible management so no ability to provide feedback on site nor on the JD website that I could see
iPT was at JD EK to teach the Gym Based Boxing CPD - Studio space was excellent along with the use of punching bags which made the experience even better for the students.nnOverall the gym is spacious with an open plan and plenty of equipment.nnGreat day!
The gym is in bad disrepair, I counted 8 treadmills that were out of order some of which have sharp rusty screws sticking out of them. No staff on site could be seen, and it is difficult to get on equipment during busy times due to the amount of people hogging machines while on their phones. Will be looking at other gyms in the area as a result.
I have spent the past two years watching this gym become a shadow of its former self. Equipment broken and never/rarely fixed, no management visible, too busy at peak times after they shut the hamilton one, old equipment from the exercise4less days. Worryingly, they are suggesting 24/7 is coming soon, a gym that isn't maintained properly in standard working hours shouldn't be open all the time!
Good gym and equipment, only issue is I go between 11pm and 1am and it’s very hot, there was condensation on the dumbbells last night and the windows also at the front door.
