Great service. Delicious food. Place isn’t much to look but don’t let that put you off. Quite expensive though. Happily made me Matar paneer side which was, unusually, not on the menu. Not greasy. Good portions. A adequate sized naan for 1 person. I enjoyed my food and would return when staying in Luton. 1x CT dhansak 1x special rice 1x matar paneer side 1x garlic naan 1x half coke =£29.25
5 stars on the service! Decor is a little old school. Food was decent. I feel it's more suited towards a 40+ crowd as I felt a little out of place being a young blood. I can see why it's a local fav for some. Thank you for having us Jay Raj, very welcoming.
I'm a self confessed curry-holic, see my reviews from around the world. Firstly I ordered my food to be cooked with a reduced amount of ghee. My starter, chicken tikka with a bag of salad and pot of raita, the chicken was sitting in a pool of oil in the container! After careful decanting and patting with kitchen paper the food was moist and tasty. Main course of Chicken Pathia and a Keema naan with garlic and coriander. The ghee was leaking out of the lid, again upon removal I was presented with another accumulation of ghee on the surface. After more kitchen paper the food was very good, tasty and a depth of flavour, mild amount of heat and delicately balanced by coriander. Only one piece of chicken in the dish was hard, but still edible the rest was nice and moist. The base of the naan bread was slightly over but still that's better than being under. Overall very friendly staff and reasonable prices for good tasty food. Go and enjoy yourself!
Asked the guy if it was halal he said "why?" I told him I'm asking as I only eat halal, he said it is halal. I said do you have a halal certificate for your meat? He said "we don't need one and don't need to show it to anyone". Very aggressive and rude behaviour for such a simple question. He said his food is halal as they buy their meat from Haji and Sons and they are halal. Overall very rude customer service from the guy at the phone I think he was the owner. All you could have said was sorry no we don't have a certificate for the meat but we use halal suppliers but you got needlessly upset. What more can one expect from a place that sells alcohol and then claims their meat is halal.
Generally top shelf Indian food served by experienced, very polite professional waiters. Definitely one of the best Indians in the Luton area which, considering the well above average number of Indian restaurants in the area, is high praise indeed!Food: 5/5
A small and intermit experience. We had our staff outing here and the staff were excellent. The food was well presented and hot Ashwell as cooked to order. Well worth a visit.Food: 5/5
Ordered delivery to hilton hotel. Prawn biriyani woth very curry and chicken chat. Looks nice. Delivered the order in an hour. They take delivery above £15. Nice service if we visit in person to the restaurant. It was tasty. The hot option is not as spicy as we expect as a South Indian.
