Went here for dinner and the food was very tasty, the burgers in batter are very big and filling. The chips are delicious and the staff are very friendly, will definitely be going here again in the near future. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the area, for some decent fish and chips and you certainly get your money's worth.
My go to fish and chip shop. Consistently brilliant - always fresh and good quality ingredients and big portion sizes. Even when ordering through Uber - the quality is never compromised. Thank you for the endless amounts of yummy meals!
Cheese burger was 3.90, but like Iceland 1.50 microwave burger, not often I don’t finish a burger, but this was awful. Waited 15 minutes for chips and burger, the man asked if wanted salt and vinegar, said no salt, only vinegar, but he gave both. When I raised this, the man did offer to give me a fresh set, but said would be another 5 minutes, therefor, I would ov been waiting 20-25 minutes for cheap burger at high price and once portion of chips, considering shop had 2 other people in, hate to imagine what wait would be if busy. Also surprised that it cost 2.80 for regular chips, but if you have cheese added will cost and extra £2.10!! Burger rate 0/5 Chips 4/5 Was recommended this chip shop, but feel others much better value and service.
Hungry Monkey is located on a quiet residential street, so unless you're very local, you'd never know it's there. On weekdays the venue is used for cookery classes but on Friday and Saturday nights it's open as a restaurant and take away. The food is good, but what makes it really special is the service. The chef / owner, Yoong, will tailor the dishes to your requirement. The menu can change according to what ingredients she has. she's called us back before offering different dishes she could prepare as alternatives Eating in is great fun and cheap, bring your own booze you can order from the menu, but we usually let Yoong choose, and she will bring us a selection of dishes. All very relaxed and friendly. Child friendly too. It's excellent service and great for special occasions. They really make you feel welcome. An asset to the community.
Super delicious! The fish is perfect. Everything's cooked to order, no old sorting rolls or stale sausages here. Highly recommend Vegetarian options: Spring rolls and battered halloumi. I didn't ask if they use separate oil though!
Went to Coppa Club for a light lunch with a friend. It was very nice, quite quiet but we were able to chat and have an uninterrupted catch up. Nice coffee, bottle of tap water and tasty nibbles. So we decided to go with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas lunch. What a palarva! Because there was going to be six of us, the booking couldn't be taken in Coppa Club even though it's only a few minutes away from our office. We had to book online: the pages of terms and conditions were unbelievable. We were expected to leave £10 per person deposit with card details and pre-order. By the time we had chosen our menus and clicked to agree the terms and conditions, the online system had timed us out and cancelled our reservation! Needless to say, they've lost that booking and our future custom.
Cash only fish bar. We enjoyed some nice fish & chips. Phone ahead possible. Been here twice now and found them to be one of the better fish & chips shops around.
Tasty food and affordable prices. Good customer service and waiting time. Recommendations for me.
Had a quarter pounder with chips, first off the quarter pounder was disgusting, dry tasteless meat and flakey bread but the chips were the worst of all, old, soggy and so greasy it stuck onto the grease paper. Good prices so i guess its pay for what you get.
Ordered large cod and chips - was pleased with the quantity and quality. My only gripe - the sauce cartons/portions . . . I wont be paying £1.20 for such a small serving sized serving again!
