I can't believe that this resturant has had negative criticism! We have never out of the 20+ years of dining there had an unpleasant experience at the Jasmine, the food has always been beyond expectation. Staff are very loyal, polite and attentive at all times. Yes the decor needs an update. But you should never judge a book by its cover. This place is well worth a try, dont let the negative feedback undermine anyone from eating there. They offer takeaway which is great, but the in dining experience is far much better in my opinion.
Me and my partner loved this restaurant until we went there for my birthday a few days ago. The service was horrible, not we are used to from this lovely restaurant. My brother in laws got his arm bashed several times by the server with no sorry . The food we ordered came out slowly and with items missing and then when we told them about there mistake the server got angry with us. Then when we came to paying the bill we was presented with another argument and my sister was told shush by the server!!! Food is excellent but only go if you wanted to be spoken to in an awful manner!! Its such a shame as I loved this place and ate here quite regularly but now I doubt will ever be returning!!
About 18 years ago we stopped going there in favour of other better restaurants, notably Tao's in old Beaconsfield. Went last night again and what a miserable place! The decor is exactly the same as is the upholstery which bears the same stain that my B I L left accidentally 22+ years ago - yuk. Worse of all however is the awful meat loose term especially the water filled stuff which was once related to chicken. The sauce flavours were OK but the meat was rancid. No texture other than wet rubber and no flavour whatsoever. On leaving we noticed a kebab stand and would definitely have preferred to have eaten there. Cheap ingredients, expensive bill. Tatty chairs, awful ceiling, stacks of beer under seats, sad old crockery and bent forks. Such a pity Tao closed.
Sunday 6/1/12 just had the WORST EVER takeaway from Jasmine in Beaconsfield.!! Started with the front waitress honking up snot into the back of her throat then swallowing it, in mid conversation! Ordered my meal some £30 worth! and sat down to a very FLAT pint of draught beer, when i got home, the food tasted dry, very salty and bland, the ribs were so small and dry, they were not worth the effort to eat and was covered in this wet sticky gooiest mess of a sauce that looked like it had been poured out of a bottle. The beef and chill was just salt tasting and the beef was tough as old boots and the prawn meal @ over £7 had only 5 prawns in it, the rest was soggy nasty veg!! sat up all night drinking loads of water and fighting the gag to be sick as it kept repeating and i only had a few mouthfuls !! Now i like you had heard good reports, I might add that in 10yrs of living in Beaconsfield id never had a good meal but this was absolute pig fodder and i wouldn't ever eat here or recommend anybody go there, even if it was FREE!!! stay away my friends, Beaconsfield is full of very nice restaurants, this is just the poorest of poor so stay away!!!!! a very disgusted Mr K Bennett
Me and 14 other girls all visited the Jasmine for their Sunday eat as much as you like. The restaurant was bustling and the food was gorgeous
Made many visits and always a friendly welcome, good service and good food. Especially like Sunday buffet where all the food is cooked as you order.
Unstinting good service experience and great food ... their Sunday eatallyoulike deal is great vfm... friendly staff. Recommend.
Great food and lovely staff. Really good for vegans/vegetarians.
