Very tasty grilled skate wing and Huss. Delicious homemade puddings especially butterscotch tart

Have driven past here for the last  decade and always wondered what it was like. Well I did the right thing. The food was magic!!!  You know you're in the right place when asking for a "wally" doesn't return a puzzled face. When mushy peas are on the menu and boy what a generous portion. Nicky was a fab hostess and everyone in there was happy and willing to engage with the table next door. Needless to say what a super place to partake in good ol' fish 'n' chips.

Great place with a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend leaving space for a dessert- Jane's cakes are amazing!Food: 5/5

We enjoyed a superb meal here last night.  Friendly staff and delicious well cooked food - couldn't have asked for more.

Great fish and chips obviously as its fried downstairs!. Excellent service and homemade tartare sauce. Theres a few more items on the menu I think. I'm not too sure on the prawns they bring out upstairs. They're a bit small, haven't been deveined and are served on a little cracker

I love eating in this restaurant. The food is cooked fresh to order and the fish is fresh and delicious. I love variety of fish, the refills of chips and yummy traditional puddings. The staff are so lovely and welcoming too.

Omg. Simply the best fish and chips. The moby dick was a piece of cod that had everything except the harpoon. Chip were great as were the pickles. I like this place because it’s not trying to be anything other than a friendly space for family and friends to gather and just eat fish and chips. Oh and few special deserts I feel duty bound to mention the butterscotch tart. I had to buy two extra to take home.
