Jalsha Tandoori

Very poor. We went to the restaurant to collect our curry. Upon returning they'd missed two items from our order. They asked us to go back to the restaurant to collect them, we refused and they delivered. They asked for us to pay for the missing items when they arrived, we refused and were given our missing items. All the meat was incredibly tough and dry. Sauces were very simple and bland. Lacking a certain fresh flavour. Edit: The restaurant has since contacted me to ask to remove this review. A very unfriendly restaurant avoid at all costs.

My family have been coming to the Jalsha for many years and always enjoyed the experience. Sadly we haven’t returned, as a few months ago we arrived for dinner and as we walked in there was an elderly lady who was vomiting into a plastic bag. She was in the entrance area near the car park which was in full view of all the diners and walk ins. We understand that the poor lady was ill...however no attempt was made to usher her to the ladies toilets or out of sight of the diners. We did stay and have a meal , but We were put off trying to eat and enjoy our food. Sadly in-view of this incident we feel we are unable to return.

It's still a bit too big for my liking. So it can get a bit noisy if there are many customers. My Jalfriezi was mainly a red juice, so not happy with that option. Hence food gets 2 stars only.Food: 2/5

Went to the place today and whilst the service was good, the food was not. The lamb and the chicken sheek kebabs were clearly premade frozen as were the samosas. The prawn puri was literally prawns taken out of a pack and then placed in sauce and heated in a microwave. The chicken in the Rogan Josh was poor quality and it felt like the chicken was bought in pre cooked and then added to a premade sauce. I get the feeling they don't have enough tandoori ovens to cook fresh given how big the place is. The peshwari nan was nice but should have had some ghee melted on it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. The food was delicious. We went on a Monday evening so it was understandably quiet. That suited us, however, as we are still trying to socially distance when possible. Will definitely return. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available.

Not the best place I've been, food was pretty bland place was cold, and the service was a bit slow with servers leaning over you when serving !! Would I recommend it? BIG no tbh. Update We ate in My meal consisted off Onion bhaji for starter perfect Lambchop cheap poor quality all bone chops very greasy and bland Garlick rice no garlic ! No seasoning greasy and very bland Saag bhaji no garlic ! No seasoning bland slop Naan Peshawar really good Garlic naan plain nanny with butter herb and shake over dried garlic So my meal consisted of Onion bhaji and a Peshawar naan that was acceptable. Oh the Irish coffee was shyte Not even real cream they said single but I think foamed milk. Overall Poor quality ingredients and tasteless. I didn't want to complain as I was a guest of a customer that highly recommended this place. She commented that this was the worst experience she had had here.

Food very disappointing, had squid starter limp lettuce a slither of tomato and squid in soft batter. Chicken tikka masala sauce was awful and four pieces of chicken. Reasonable price saved the day. Decor is seriously out of date needs a good paint job, and cheap plastic flowers on table not good

Come here with family and greatly enjoyed every dish we order decent portions sizes.we had 2 dishes person which was perfect for us.

Delicious food,great service and lovely atmosphere! Our favorites were the flavorful jalfazi and keema nan,specially tarka Dall. Large local restaurant. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Staff polite and attentive. Parking can be a problem.
