"With the re-opening of Jaipur Dalkey in 2020, owner Asheesh Dewan has decided to combine his two great loves - Food and Art. The restaurant interior has received a whole new look and hosts some of his favorite art work. The kitchen team is headed by Chef Sanish Joseph who has been a rock of the group for 20 years. Front of house is led by Prashant Katira, fondly known as Shan who is a familiar face to guests and Dalkey locals alike. One of Dalkey’s most loved restaurants, Jaipur Dalkey has been consistently providing delicious Indian cuisine. Jaipur Dalkey has also been instrumental in helping to create the vibrant food scene that Dalkey now hosts. Indian cuisine is interpreted and presented in a contemporary environment."

Hands down the best Indian food in Dublin in 2023. We shook our heads with each bite such was our out and out delight. Irish ingredients coupled with the chefs of Jaipur’s talents makes this a destination restaurant for me. Did I mention the mouthwatering dessert and excellent wine pairings too? The airy decor & beautiful art work coupled with the warm service make this restaurant beautifully understated and fitting for this seaside village. Lucky Dalkey.
Visited this restaurant during the lobster festival. Therefore, ordered only lobster related dishes. The food was absolutely incredible as well as the staff: very welcoming and nice. Very recommend everyone to visit and try! However, it might be better to reserve a table beforehand. A little side note: some of the food was a little too spicy for my taste, but I don't like spicy food in general. So, if you don't mind a little spicy foods, then you'll be fine.
Our first visit, and we were impressed. The atmosphere, fittings, furniture, lighting and decor all combine to provide a very pleasant ambience. We ordered a single mixed kebab as a shared starter for four and it was really tasty, and a good portion. Four separate main courses, all of which were beautifully presented and all delicious. Service was excellent. We have taken off one star because they had very limited drinks available other than wine and cocktails. Pricing is pretty average for Dalkey, but expensive for Indian restaurants generally. We will be returning! Vegetarian options: Reasonable selection of vegetarian options. Parking: It can be tricky to find free parking around Dalkey. Paid parking is available at the DART station.
Beautiful food, hands down the best Indian I've ever eaten in Ireland. I am looking forward to returning again.Food: 5/5
Had a very mixed experience here. Credit where due, the food was really good albeit on the pricier side. But for the experience it was well worth it. The waiting staff were all very nice. What ruined my experience was the reaction of the person in charge that day. We had specifically booked a birthday and brought a cake. I requested for the cake to be put into the fridge until after dinner. This person was extremely rude and reminded me that I should have told him this before and outside food is not allowed. Then he said he'll do me this favour . I understand restaurant policies, even if this was not pre-informed when making the booking there could have been a much nicer way to manage this. In the end we decided to take the cake home and do it there. Didn't leave the restaurant with a warm and fuzzy feeling on the day. Hopefully it was one off.
Amazing food, amazing ambience. Staff were incredibly polite and nice. Just a wonderful evening. I'd highly recommend this place. A bit pricey but it's Dalkey, just an excellent experience!!!
It's a superlative restaurant, with good food, efficient service Would never have thought that Dublin would beat London for an auteur on authentic Indian cuisine. Please drive whatever miles it takes to come here for a lovely meal
Absolutely fabulous, clean, tidy, professional - top drawer service. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Child friendly, portions spot on, food delicious, faultless! Kid-friendliness: The staff spoke meaningfully to my children and showed them respect.
I made a reservation for 4 on their site for Sunday but on reaching the restaurant I was told that they couldn’t take the reservation and had cancelled it. The manager told me all the tables are booked out but I was surprised to hear that as there were just 2 tables occupied and rest were free. I asked if we can sit outdoors and was given a table. I could not understand why he did not want us in. Do they not want ‘Indians’ in their restaurant, this thought ran through but I did not ask and sat down for the meal. The service was very late and after asking for the bill I went inside the restaurant for the washroom and was surprised to see lots of empty tables. The manager got us the bill and told us that they didn’t expect that we would leave that early it was hour n half altogether otherwise he would have given us a table. This is the first time I’ve ever encountered racist experience in Ireland and surprisingly at an Indian restaurant. I’m never going there again and posting this for awareness. Hope the management learn to be inclusive.
The overall experience was very good. I had an excellent biryani. The service was a bit hit and miss but what really annoyed us was the pathetic slithers of poppadoms and the smallest portion dips I’ve ever seen.
