PLEASE NOTE: THE JACKSON FOUNDATION IS IN WINTER HIBERNATION. WE REOPEN DECEMBER 20TH - JANUARY 6TH.

Nestled down a side street just off Bank Square, The Jackson Foundation is a new gallery space created by leading British contemporary artist Kurt Jackson and his wife Caroline. The gallery focuses on Kurt's engagement with the natural world and his collaborations with environmental charities and environmental groups.

Always a fascinating visit. Lovely modern spacious gallery and the audio visual area always complements the current exhibition. Plenty of local cafes to visit once you've finished perusing the 2 floors.

The gallery is beautifully laid out, light, airy and thoughtfully curated, making it a really relaxing place to wander, take your time and properly enjoy the artwork.nThe exhibitions are inspiring, interesting and genuinely engaging, with a lovely mix of styles that make it feel accessible to everyone — not intimidating, just quietly impressive.nStaff were friendly and welcoming, happy to chat, and clearly passionate about what they do. It felt like a place that really cares about both the art and the people coming through the door.nIt’s the kind of gallery you pop into for “a quick look” and find yourself still there far longer than planned. Outstanding gallery space. If you are in St Just then you really should visit, entry is free. Kurt's artwork is excellently displayed downstairs, whilst there is a room upstairs for other work.

For years we have been coming here and always been able to walk round the exhibitions with our dog.  Now it has changed is policy because of a few badly behaved dogs.  What about the few badly behaved children or people. Really disappointing and unfair.

The exhibition space is beautiful. But in all honesty it’s very narcissistic. For such a great space, they should really showcase other artists’ work. Kurt’s artwork is nice, very expected of Cornwall. But this space is screaming for different art to be shown in addition to Kurt’s. I also feel this is important for the residents of St Just who’d value seeing other work displayed.
