The hygiene standard is high,the quality of the meals is high. The taste of their fish & chips is renowned. Has been for years. The service is good. Beverages or soft drinks are available. Car parking is relatively easy, immediately in front of the building. The menus indicate mainly the normal fish & chips,as available to consume in the premises,or as take away. However,they do provide "veggie burgers" for vegetarians. There is an ATM Cash dispenser near the counter. The entrances permit access by those using wheelchairs.
Used to be, without a doubt, the best fish n chips for miles around. Perfect in every respect. Recently deteriorated, tho - which is very sad. Fish was thin, dry, gray and tasteless; chips were powdery, staff were surly and grumpy. I waited till we tried it again a second time before editing my review here, but this time was as bad as the last.
Cleanest toilets I have seen in a long while, however, the food was less than average.. Sausages were squishy and raw and the bacon fat was floppy and white, not nice and crispy. Maybe a good fish and chip shop, but sadly not so good for breakfast.
The staff is nice and the burger is delicious but the fish is too oily.
Just had fish chips and mushy peas! Can honestly say one of the best I've had. Really tasty :
Visited Jack's on Saturday 3rd July 2021, hadn't been there for over 10 years, but the quality is still very good, they had just opened at 4.30pm, ordered haddock and chips, very pleased with meal. Would highly recommend, hopefully the inside sit down restaurant will re-open soon, there are outside tables.
Amazing fish and chips duh. This is a requirement if you’re visiting this area of London!
Fast service and good food. Also great crowd outside and some excellent vintage bikes to be seen.
Always good food. Whilst I was in there eating, a customer came in and asked if they had any healthy options. The answer was no sorry. I am not surprised it is a fish and chip shop and it does what it does Great chips great fish, clean and tidy restaurant to eat it in. Who needs more. Keep up the good work
We call in here for fish and chips four or five times a year, and have done so for a number of years. They open at 7.00, and serve all day breakfasts at £7.50 until 12.00. They serve the usual pies, and sausages, in addition to cod, rock, and haddock, all of which are cooked freshly to order. Staff are very friendly and efficient, and there is plenty of parking. They also offer a party catering service for between 25 - 250. Highly recommended.
