Plethora of board games to choose from. I was initially skeptical about the options for 2 players but this place gave me a sweet surprise. Varied types that includes strategy, educational, abstract, traditional etc board games. Didn't realize how we past 3 hours there. There's no compulsion of buying food or beverages, if you are interested only in playing. Outside food is ofcourse not allowed for the sake of sanity. They serve a smooth hot chocolate though if you wanna keep yourself warm while trying to think on how to beat your opponent in the game. Perfect place for spending quality time with friends or family. Worth a visit!
A superb way to while away a rotten afternoon a really lovely idea great staff and just a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend. Great for the family. Recommend booking to avoid dissapointment especially if the weather is bad.
Great food, great staff who are so friendly and helpful. A really good, fun and relaxed atmosphere amongst all the people eating and playing games.
Good spot for a cafe. Group of 7 stopped off for coffee and a snack. I had an Americano and a coronation chicken sandwich. Coffee was good. I was rather tempted by my friends choice of a panini. Service was ok, food was fine too. Coffee was good. Nice casual atmosphere and once served the staff left us alone to chat.
Great place. Nice environment, staff are really friendly, helpful and passionate about the games. Nice selection of cakes and buns and is reasonably priced. They have a great selection of games that would suit kids, novices, casual players through to those who are more experienced or keen gamers. The staff give recommendations and help explain how to play so you can get stuck in rather than sit and read rule books. Hope to get back again soon
Fabulous Place! Cozy Cafe with super friendly and attentive staff. Great food choices with some vegetarian and vegan options. Geared but not exclusively for people who want to play board games. The manager Neal was really accommodating and tailored a non vegan meal into a vegan one. Well priced and great service.
These guys are brilliant. They somehow seem to remember me in some way each time I visit either that or they are uber friendly and their knowledge of the vast amount of board games in their possession is impressive. Food menu is small but perfect and easy/affordable and they have lovely cakes/bakes. They also have a big group game room out the back, it's warm and friendly. Think the price is perfect too and the 4.50 for games is well worth it. Great idea, great staff. Wished they were closer to city centre but I understand that's more expensive 're rent but hopefully people will support over the next years!
Decor lovely, fresh and clean. staff lovely and friendly too. £2.50 per hour per person for a board game is excessive however. If you have 2kids your not coming out with change from £25 from breakfasts and boardgames equally the kids breakfasts are overpriced for what you get. They should reduce the price during the day to £1 per person during the daytime, at least people will happily hand that over, then they would make extra money from the drinks. Nice place, but need to work on the costing.
Had our first game there tonight and had a fantastic time, we were the last lot to leave and weren't pressurised to leave at all! Highly recommended for anyone who is a veteran board gamer or wants to test some games out before they jump in and buy them! The food and drink is great and everyone was very pleased with their food group of 4 people the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the games as well.
Amazing selection of over 400?!! Games, lovely staff, great atmosphere and lovely bakes. Got the nachos which weren't exactly amazing but the cakes are all homemade and so yum. Pay for 3 hours but if they're not busy they let you stay on for extra time. We love Jack straws!!
