We visited the place twice and enjoyed it overall. We went there with two kids and they enjoyed the pasta dishes we’re all vegetarian. The place looks great and the prices are fair for Disney. However, the service is quite bad. We waited and waited to be served or approached at all and ended up actively reaching out to find our waiter to ask for service. This happened multiple times and I find it totally unacceptable. Other than the service aspect, the place is really nice…
Probably one of the better sit down meal experiences in Disney. The atmosphere is excellent with the restaurant being in the middle of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride you can wave at the boats passing by and be a small part of the ride!. That said, the food is okay and really pricey, even by Disney standards. Very seafood/Caribbean flavor which might also not be for everyone so check menu beforehand and make sure to reserve ahead.
Pretty much what you’d expect. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Perched at the shoreline of the actual Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland, you really feel like you’re transported to one of the pirate towns for a veritable feast. Unfortunately, the magic stops there. The food was only okay, and the service was lamentable. Definitely entertaining for those who want to live out a brief moment in a Disney classic, but don’t set your expectations too high.
We booked Captain Jack’s 2 months ahead and still we managed to find just a 4.30pm “lunch” slot. We were disappointed by the quality and taste of food. From a restaurant in a kids’ theme park I would have expected way more options and a wide range of them. The menu, especially the one for those with Disney Meals, is fairly limited and there aren’t many choices. Kids have just a couple of options to choose from. The location is suggestive however, it was quite dark and many people, us included, had to use their smartphones to read the menu. Services was reasonably prompt and friendly. Again, the quality of the food was way below the bar and not worth the prices. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with kids.
*Don’t waste your meal plan in HERE!!! Worst dining experience in Paris Disneyland. I strongly recommend go other dining. Super lazy workers and waited more than 1hour main menu. Price and tasty are bad…
This restaurant is situated in Disneyland Paris. I'm not going to comment on prices, you're in a theme park which should say enough. The restaurant has lovely deco and there's a river flowing through it with people on the accompanying ride. The food selection is to my liking. We took the set menu which was lovely. Service took some time so if you're on a tight schedule that day, you might want to reconsider. All in all well worth the experience. We enjoyed every minute we spend there.
Have wanted to eat here for quite a while and the overall experience didn't disappoint. The setting of the restaurant is fantastic, overlooking the start of Pirates of the Caribbean. We had a reservation for the beginning of lunchtime, so had a bit of a wait as the staff seated everyone who had arrived for the 11:30 timeslot. The staff were very pleasant throughout and were attentive but also allowed for time for you to enjoy the setting of the restaurant. The food itself was really nice, with flavours that were inspired by the Caribbean setting. I went for the three course set menu which unfortunately was fairly restrictive. The à la carte menu looked nice however would have cost a lot more - perhaps a surcharge would have worked better to swap out one of the dishes? Overall a really nice dining experience - however it could get a bit pricy if you wanted to eat exactly what you wanted.
Had an amazing time with The Captain and his Crew! Was really nervous about going after reading some reviews, but clearly it's just a bit pot luck because we had an amazing time! Got lucky and was sat right on the "Shoreline" waving at boats as they came past, which was a unique experience. Had a half board meal, so ordered off the set Menu. The shredded chicken salad starter was huge, and easily could have been a main. The mahi mahi fish was lovely, and both courses arrived in good time. We then had a very very long wait for the desserts, and admittedly was going to knock a Star off my rating because of it. But, turns out my boyfriend had secretly ordered a birthday cake as a surprise, and the restaurant was out of candles! The cast members had to run around loads of different resturants to find some! They apologised, gave us free drinks and sang a hearty round of Happ Birthday To You which more than made up for it! The cast were amazing, in particular Gabriel, who was very apologetic and very attentive. All in all, really was looking forward to eating here, and the food was tasty, the staff lovely and the experience of eating inside a ride was great!
Really fun dining experience. The food is a bit pricey but the set menu is very reasonable compared to the individual course prices. The food was delicious and really filling, we left with very full bellies. We were lucky to be seated right next to the water, but all seats looked good as the theming was so rich. Highly recommend.
The food was good, the place was dark and humid a little, I think because of the river next to it. The staff were very rude, no waiter introduced him or herself to us. So we saw 2 different waiters and told them we are ready to order, the first one politely refused but the second waitress was very rude and she said no you can’t order from me, I explained to her that no waiter is assigned to us, she said “it is not my problem” with a cold smile!! After 5 min another one came and I explained to him the rudeness of the other waitress, he said I am her now and he did not even apologize. I don’t recommend anyone to go to this restaurant.
