We are local so did not stay in the rooms but had a delicious meal in the delightful restaurant. Local produce beautifully presented and cooked very well. The steaks were so tender and tbe seafood was just wonderful. There is a lovely atmosphere there with such obvious care and attention to detail in the decor. The staff were all helpful, friendly and efficient. An unavoidable family event which meant we had to change our booking at short notice was dealt with so well. Customer service is obviously taken very seriously. Well worth the visit!
Highly recommend. If your looking for fine dining in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere this is the place to go. The restaurant and surrounding areas are beautiful. all the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic evening here and can't wait to come back! Will recommend to everyone I know!
We had a fantastic overnight stay, wine tasting, dinner and breakfast at this wonderful place. The owners , Steve and Jackie were friendly and welcoming, focussed on ensuring that we had the best possible experience. The room was comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated, the wine tasting and history talk by Kevin was really interesting, the dining experience was outstanding. The food presentation and service were amazing and the breakfast menu included in the accommodation was varied and very hearty. We would highly recommend Jabajak.
holidaying for a few days taking in some of the fabulous scenery in Wales, we were not disappointed with our holiday venue. Such a unique hideaway. Great people, cosy rooms, food divine. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and all their super staff. Lovely to hear stories of the history of the vineyard, Truly an enjoyable stay and can't recommend it enough. Thank you Jackie, Steve and Team. We hope to see you in 2023.
Fantastic night away! The owner Steve was there to greet us and he gave us a friendly greeting to this beautiful spot. He is very proud of his vineyard and that shows in his enthusiasm. We were shown to our lovely room, the farmhouse suite, where we were greeted with a four poster bed and free standing bath with bath soap and crystals! We enjoyed wine tasting and the wine was absolutely amazing. The bar was a really nice quiet spot to relax in the evening. We had dinner the night we arrived and the service and food were stunning. Best meal I've had in a long time!! Breakfast was a similar experience, the menu was great and the breakfast was perfect! We both really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning in the summer! I highly recommend a stay here and if you like attention to detail, great service and high quality food you will enjoy your stay here! Thanks Steve, from Mark and Lianne.
We stopped by in September for a meal on the way to visit friends and, sorry to say, were underwhelmed by the experience. The restaurant is nice enough in a rather sterile, professionally designed way - no individual style or character but we weren't there for the decor! We had a sort of posh surf 'n' turf but the prawns were not fully cooked. Then the opposite problem with the main: the meat was tough and over-cooked when both I and my partner asked for medium. I don't drink but my partner does & knows his vino but he was disappointed, saying his sizeable glass of red had clearly come out of a bottle that had been opened for some time. Not the worst meal we've ever had but, for the prices they charge, their customers deserve better. The staff were lovely though. We tried to give our server a nice cash tip but were surprised to be told we weren't allowed to and could only tip on the bill. This we did but couldn't help feeling that it was unlikely to get to the person intended, our friendly server, a local we think, who gave excellent service. I must say, we had no idea this place was on the tv show Four in a Bed and won! We just caught the end of the last episode which they just showed on repeat, I think, and thought we'd add our review. However, we didn't stay in the hotel rooms so can't comment but obviously the contestants must not have eaten there whenever they filmed it. Also, in fairness, we had our meal a little more recently than the programme was filmed.
First class for sure, best 3 course meal, superb wine, great accommodation, wish the new owner good luck, will be backRooms: 5/5
Lovely accommodation and meal. The team were great and helpful, Id recommend the wine tasting!
We stayed 2 nights. On arrival we received the warmest of welcomes. The whole atmosphere is relaxed and definitely un-stuffy. The room was delightfully decorated bright, spotless and cozy with a fully stocked tea tray. In fact the whole place is beautiful. The restaurant menu was just the right selection and perfectly balanced for all tastes. Vegetables were largely home grown and the delicious sourdough bread made daily by a staff member. Nothing was too much trouble. Do visit Jabajak... but leave space for us to visit again :-
Wonderful experience. The staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. They obviously care so much about the business and it shows. The food was so amazing, and locally sourced, as were the drinks. The rooms are very nice. The area is incredibly beautiful and historic too.
