Very disappointing. The food is good - I’ve had several take away meals in the past. The restaurant service is appalling. After our main course we were given dessert menus. We were then told if we wanted dessert we would have to move tables. A large party had arrived. We were asked to move to a table that had been vacant all night - it’s just poor planning. The table next to us was asked to leave as they were no longer eating. It’s not fast food. In a restaurant you expect to be able to relax and not be rushed along. They don’t care. We left and went to the pub where other people shared similar bad experiences.
Food was amazing, staff lovely and friendly. Highly recommend the tandoori mix grill. Its Bring your own alcohol if you don't remember before arriving there's a shop a few doors down!
I went to this place a while back with my friends. They let you bring your own wine and alcohol which in a way it is good especially who wanted to drink a lot. The staff were nice and attentive. The curry is tasty.
Our favourite Indian restaurant when we first moved here, we used to walk from Goring and back to visit. Haven't been for a while though since walking got difficult, it is a small place, not really disabled friendly. Great well cooked food, great service. Always busy, probably best to book, especially weekends
Just moved very close to this restaurant, thought we'd give it a try. This is the 2nd worst curry we've had, onion bhajis were very nice, rice was good but the curries were awful, considering the high price, I'd rather get a jar from Lidl. Won't be returning, very disappointed considering the positive reviews.
Went along to the Jaflong with 3 friends this evening. The restaurant was busy as usual but as always the food was delicious. Beyween us we had lamb shaslik, chicken rezalla and prawn dhansak. All were delicious. The staff were very efficient at serving and clearing the tables. We did not feel rushed to leave at the end of our meal. We will be back.
We went last night for a surprise birthday meal. The table wasnt ready the place was packed we couldnt even get in the door. The staff were all over the place we were getting our own menus and own cutlery they ran out of onion bhajis and took 2 hrs for the meal to at nearly 11pm by that time gone past hunger stage floor was dirty and all wet had to clean ourselves very unorganised and trying to cram everyone in . No customer service skills there defo wouldnt go back !!
Delivery Review- a few minor errors on order aside. 4 mains ordered , dhansak and kurma were both great. but the madras/bhuna were terrible. they were identical just meat in a sweet and extremely salty tomato sauce
best curry i ever had in my life, succulent chicken, creamy sauce. naans were heated to perfection. would 100% recommend
Fantastic authentic Indian Resturant. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Only thing I don't like is service with IPAD somehow does not fit in with the feel of the restaurant. I will be back again soon cant wait
