Just had an early Father's Day brunch present at JG Ross cafe.nIt was delicious. Really enjoyed it.nI would certainly recommend it.nFrom the breakfast fry up, I had to ask who's sausages they use as I am not usually too keen on them, but I must say that is one of the best I have tasted.nThe platter with pancakes, yougart, and fruit along with syrups were delicious.nThe ladies serving were just lovely and looked after us.nAll in all, thanks to my girls for the treat and the staff for a lovely treat.
Really nice food, staff are really friendly, reminds me of home Yorkshire however, far too overpriced, do not offer customers substitutes for certain items on breakfast and on previous visit, attempted to charge me nearly £2 to top the BBQ sauce up which was failed to be filled adequately. In a monetary manner, I think must needed changes must be applied but the staff are really nice and friendly.nnUnfortunately, due to the aforementioned, I will not be dining at JG Ross anymore when visiting family
Hunger struck and as I was passing, I dropped in for something to eat. My favourite drink is hot chocolate and Ross's did not disappoint! Add to that the delicious sultana scone and you have a happy customer!nnI really enjoyed reading the history of the bakery from its humble beginnings in Premnay, to where they are today. Inspiring!
I don’t know why, but every time I come here, I get nervous. The staff—from the counter to the post office—are always so mean; no smiles, no greetings, just rushing you to buy something and leave.nnOnce, I went just for a coffee, but didn’t have money in my bank and wanted to pay cash—they said they don’t take it, and I didn’t even see a clear sign about that. They didn’t try to help, even though the post office is a few steps away and I know you can pay for store items there.nnAn hour ago, I just went to check the fruits, and all 2-3 staff members stared at me like I was doing something wrong. Relax, guys—I’m not stealing from your pockets.
Great service from the staff. Food was good and all freshly made to order this does mean you have to wait but worth the wait. The tables were clean and even with it being very busy was able to find a seat. There is a good range on offer and they have 2 options of soup to choose from. There is also a shop next to the restaurant which has a good selection to choose from. Would recommend going there for lunch/ afternoon tea.
