Unfortunately I have had a very poor experience with JC’s Commercials. James the owner and Painter was brought onboard by myself as part of a sponsorship deal to paint two expedition vehicles. He was paid over ten thousand pounds to paint the two 10t trucks (labour only, Materials were supplied as part of another sponsorship deal).

We delivered the first vehicle to James having rushed our end to get it finished. We were told it would be done in 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately the vehicle was not then ready for collection for 8weeks!!! When we collected it we were so astonished by the lazy workmanship we decided it was best to take the vehicle away.

We then sought a resolution with James over the phone. Unfortunately we were just swore at and told to f off and Jc’s sent an invoice for £230 for edition labour and materials, The owner of this vehicle has  decided to take legal action,

I (the owner of the second vehicle) discussed the workmanship with James and told him that he needed to do better on the second vehicle. I was reassured that this would happen. I tentatively delivered the vehicle. I was notified it was ready for collection  after four weeks (a week late). To my surprise it was actually worse than when it went in, Its is two different shades of red amongst other things (see pictures). Also the original quote was to paint all wheels. These were never done and I have had to do this.

I have expressed my upset to James and he has offered to repair the vehicle free of charge. However as he has demonstrated on two occasions his incompetence I feel returning it to him would be a grave mistake. So I am left to pick up the costs. Since this conversation with James he has now threatened to invoice me £8060 for additional labour.
