I must say, all the staff on the phone are always fantastic. Yes, it’s time consuming to get an appointment, however, most of the time you are able to get one. The pharmacy staff are amazing and so so friendly, especially Karen!
We have had nothing but positive experiences at Ivy court. Receptionists are always polite, the girls on the phone are always friendly and understanding, the pharmacy are efficient and friendly. I would like to also mention Dr Watts, whom I have dealt with a few times for myself or my children and he is the best doctor I have encountered for a long time. He is kind, empathetic and really takes his time to help you and reassure you. He gives you the answers and reassures you and goes the extra mile to make sure all is okay. Feel very lucky to have a surgery that are managing so well in difficult times for the industry !
My experience at this clinic was extremely disappointing. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and treated patients in a demeaning manner. It's unfortunate that such individuals are employed there. The doctors showed little interest in providing proper care, seeming more focused on quickly prescribing medication and moving on. They failed to conduct thorough blood tests when necessary, often requiring patients to redo them elsewhere. The appointment system is poorly managed, making it very difficult to secure a slot, even in urgent situations. For serious conditions, they lack the necessary resources and promptly refer you to Ashford, which is another subpar facility. Overall, this is the worst clinic I have ever visited. I normally have nothing but praise for Ivy Court Surgery, but the receptionist I encountered today was obstructive and unhelpful. She demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and understanding, and after I have battled to control a medical condition for the last 10 months, she left me feeling disheartened deflated and alone. I fail to understand the purpose of offering an explanation for my request, only to be hindered by somebody medically unqualified.nUPDATE 18TH SEPTEMBERnYesterday I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition but when reviewing My GP I noticed a document uploaded by A and E was inaccurate and missed a referral. I called Ivy Court, only to be fobbed off by the receptionist, who showed no interest or understanding but told me to contact the wrong department. I will avoid any contact with the Surgery going forward and only speak to trained medical professionals.nIt's disheartening to be facing a life threatening illness and feeling you need to battle those you entrust with your care
Having phoned for an appointment on Tuesday morning at 08.00, I was offered one at 09.05 same day. The doctor listened and provided a referral to assist my predicament. I was then on my way only an hour after requesting the appointment. Very impressed with the help provided by the team, inclusive of front desk, doctors and friendly efficiency of your pharmacy.
