Typical low-tier saleman. Constant waffle when you go to the store, and will lie profusely to make a sale. Delivery month late, missing pieces, lies about replacement due to condition of product, etc. etc. Do yourself a favour and just avoid this garbage and go to a reputable store/chain.
This is the second time i've bought from this store and the quality of product is second to none. I've recently bought a marble coffee table and I am so pleased with the workmanship and finish of the table. Bernard the owner is a good guy. Always attentive to his customers and with his assistant was always on hand with any queries I had. I'd recommend this place all day and everyday.
Came in here to check a catalogue because I was told on Saturday by the guy I meant there to come in on Sunday by 1pm. I meant an older man maybe the owner or dad. He was extremely rude and racist. He looked at me with disgust and his facial expression said it all. I have never felt this way before. He said if there was no catalogue yesterday there won’t be one today or next time. I told him it’s fine that I only came because I was promised that there will be one today. I left feeling very belittled and angry. I will never go there again.
June 2016 after ordering a 3 piece suite, Leonardo TV cabinet, Leonardo corner unit, Leonardo dining table and chairs, I read some reviews on this company. I became very concerned, stressed and worried. But why??? People just like to complain. I have my complete order, delivery men unpacked and installed every item. Quality excellent, competitive prices. I would certainly order from Italian Furniture Direct again. I telephoned the store the following day to thank them personally. Not a good company, do not part with your money without receiving your goods. We bought a sideboard and three display cabinet. We paid deposit for the order, but before delivering he insisted that we pay in full before he delivers. That was our big mistake. Side board was okay but three display cabinet all had faults/broken, two cabinets, mirrors were missing, one door was broken. We were told this will be corrected soon. Three weeks later, door and one mirror was re-fitted. Three months later I am still waiting for a mirror for my incomplete cabinet. The owner is no longer replying to our emails or phone calls. He has cheated us. If possible do not deal with this company and if you do. pay cash on delivery, otherwise you will regret in the same way as we are doing. I feel so sad, I waited so long for my items and parted with our hard earned money. I feel so foolish and sad trusting this company. We paid in March, we are still waiting for Bernard to deliver inside mirror for the cabinet. Also my review is being removed so people can't see what this company is about.
As some of the other people had a bad experience with Bernard, we had it as well. We ordered marble table and 4 chairs paid in full prior to delivery. The table we got was 10 cm short and 15 cm less wide than the standard size that we asked for. Despite agreeing with him that he will replace it he has not been in touch 5 months down the line he is not responding to any emails or calls. Suffice to say he has cheated us. Please beware of this shop and especially Bernard. We did not feel he has been honest with us.
Would not recommend and would never use again. Had whole bedroom full of furniture delivered. Most was broken in some way or another. Refused to do anything about it. So use at your own risk. DO NOT ENTERTAIN THIS STORE IN ANY WAY. THE DELIVERY DRIVERS TOOK PICTURES. MY PARTNER WENT INTO SHOP TO REPORT FEW DAYS LATER. THE PERSON SHE SPOKE TO WAS RUDE AND, OF NO USE AT ALL, CHOCOLATE TEAPOT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL. ALL THAT WAS SAID TO HER WAS IT’S GLASS. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT. NO APOLOGY AND, NO HELP OFFERED. As previously said wouldn’t recommend to anybody.
