Live in a area for around 6 years, I'm at the post office about twice a week and literally NEVER had any issues! The staff is very helpful and friendly, happy to explain everything and help in any way they can. No idea why such a bad rep... They are lovely! Little advice for some - treat people like you want to be treated ;
Just the absolute worst post office I have ever suffered the indignity of having to use. Literally unable to do anything outside of selling a stamp. I just tried to receive money via Western Union and they faffed around for 20 minutes before telling me that my UK valid passport didnt have a valid ID, which it obviously does. I called Western Union why stated it was a system or user error from their end. They are rude and have mastered only one skill - being utterly hopeless.
I just got yelled at in front of other customers and made to feel terrible because I had the audacity of not showing her back and front of the form I HANDED her so she was perfectly able to see it for herself anyway. Even so, I said nothing and didn’t complain but she proceeded to humiliate me and talk in an extremely loud manner with the only intention to humiliate me. The person I am talking about is an Indian lady with white hair. Absolutely appalling.
I had a parcel to collect for my niece’s birthday. I rushed to the Post Office from work to get there for during the advertised opening hours. Post Office is advertised as open until 18:00. I arrived at 17:54 and went to the counter. The man behind the counter said they were closed. I pointed out that it was not 18:00 yet. He said that they close at 17:50 to cash up. Another lady had a Royal Mail collection slip that said the opening time was 8:30 – 18:00. The man behind the counter spent over five minutes rudely arguing with us that he was closed rather than giving our parcels. Frustratingly the area where they keep parcels for collection was right behind where he was standing. Thanks to this rude man I wasted my time rushing to get there before the advertised closing time and now don’t have the present in time for my niece’s birthday.
Such poor customer service! Now that heston PO has closed I use this one and literally dread it! You get shouted at, the old woman is awful and there is also a man who works there who is equally rude. An inspection is needed here from citizens advice.
Decent enough but just make sure to check your receipts as the old lady that works there inputs the wrong addresses onto the system. I send stuff from there regularly and usually double check the receipts, but today was in a rush and forgot. On the train to work I checked, and out of 5 parcels, she has input 2 incorrect postcodes onto the system. I can only hope that the postman looks at the address I've written instead of what she's typed onto the system.
Avoid this place at all costs! Rude, arrogant, yesterday I came to send ebay return parcel, 4 or 5 times i said "ebay return parcel " and a woman 4 or 5 times answered i don't get it 5 times, she started laughing what is my first language shocking
I just visited this branch at 5:50pm to pick up my pre-ordered euros for travel tomorrow. There was no queue but they said they couldn't serve me because they stop serving 10 minutes before closing. Then they said the safe was time locked from 5:30pm. What's the point of a safe which is closed 30mins before the post office closes. I despair!
The below was 4 years ago. Since then the post office has improved and seem to have more staff including ones who seem happier to chat and actually engage with customers! —— Review 2018: With one recent exception, the staff aren't going to win any customer service awards. Miserable, uncommunicative and barely audible most of the time, it's not the best Post Office you'll ever visit. Ironically, the worst offender was once very pleasant and smiley to me, only to then ask if I'd fill in a positive customer service questionnaire. Er, no thanks.
I intended to go to this post office to exchange some travel money into euros. I asked the lady behind the counter if I could exchange £105 into €110 as well as apply for a post office travel card. She asked for ID which I gave and she said a provisional license wasn’t enough which I found fair enough and had to go home to get my passport. Upon returning I was served by the other man who I gave my passport as ID, he was very unfriendly and had no interest in helping me. I then said could I put €60 onto the card which he replied to by saying that it has to be a minimum of £50 into the card which will automatically transferred into Euros, which the First Lady failed to mention. Not only were both extremely unhelpful they were both largely unbothered and uninterested and I found that my time was completely wasted
