Story

Ironing Maidens of Henley in Arden was founded in 2005 to offer a comprehensive Ironing, Dry Cleaning and Shoe Repair services from our retail premises at 95 High Street. We are agents for Ideal Dry Cleaners of Knowle and Timpsons Shoe Repairs who provide top level service at competitive prices.

We iron anything that needs ironing, from summer shorts to bed linen to shirts, and our executive service gets you ready for that special meeting or event. We can provide weekly service or just a one off when needed. Ironing Maidens can handle all your ironing needs while maintaining our individual attention to everything you bring to us.

Ironing Maidens is a family owned and run company, managed by Claire, who has many loyal and happy customers. Her dedicated staff can work with you to provide a fast turnaround when required and they always go the extra mile to ensure you receive excellent customer service.

A collection and delivery service is available from home or work, but please call into our shop so we can discuss your particular needs and requests in person.

Claire & Family. You never cease to amaze me! For those of you reading this, I have used Claire's immaculate & professional ironing service for about a year now where Claire's Dad; Richard, collects our crumpled up pre-washed clothing which has literally been shoved in a black bin liner on a Monday (from Knowle even though they are based on Henley) & returns the carefully wrapped and hanged garments, (yes hanged; you get to keep the hangers) to me on a Wednesday; all looking brand new! Easy hey? That's not all, they offer a service on all those jobs you hate! Along with my ironing, I have handed Richard anything from smelly shoe repairs to dry cleaning and now I have experienced their alteration service at first hand. After purchasing some jeans at a bargain price and knowing full well they were too long, I asked Claire if she could alter the length of the jeans to fit. Yes......JEANS! Richard, as scheduled, collected the items I needed ironing on Monday, together with the jeans & today (Wednesday) he has delivered the jeans back to me ready to wear!! Wow! The turnaround time I wasn't expecting and the quality speaks volumes; just look at the photo below and see for yourself! Can you tell they've been altered? I never write things like this and this is my first time attempt at writing a review on Google for the sole reason that I believe if you haven't already experienced the delights of this service; you're missing out! We all have busy lifestyles and for me ironing, dry cleaning, shoe repairs and alterations are certainly not on my list of fun things to do, yet for Claire and her wonderful family; its their passion! (?) Give them a go and you won't be disappointed.
