The park is fun with many activities for child and adult it has deep forests and many playgrounds scattered around the paths. For those who want a nice family time there is many picnic beaches along the path and for those explorers out there there are many off road paths leading into the heart of the forest. Over all I had an amazing experience. However the off road paths aren't rally child friendly being very steep + I saw a young girl face plant into the ground due to some steep paths. Over all an enjoyable and peaceful experience.
Great walks and trails. lots of random playvarras form kids. well made. toilets good. lots of parking and fair price. coffee was terrible. dogs love it.
Beautiful woods with an adventure course on sight. Multiple marked out paths to walk depending on the distance you want to walk, but many off route walks too which I'd recommend to find some really beautiful areas of the woods. The woods has a rich history which you can read about on the signs dotted around the woods and in the railway museum too.
Really nice place to go with a big play area and some lovely different trails you can do. We did the play trail which had little pockets of wooden play areas along the way round which the children loved!
A brilliant, relaxing and a very picturesque place with the added bonus of it being great for the kids with, parks and the tree walk activity! Plenty to see and ample parking.
Nice 30 min walk full circle in the forest. Fresh forest air, loads of butterflies and beaches all the way. Half of the way is countryside pavement, half is concrete. £3.2 car park for minimum 4 hours
Gorgeous place to walk and explore. Paid parking on site, clean toilets and somewhere to get snacks. Great play areas for kids, lots of open space
Came here at the weekend with my wife and 6 year old. Had a great time. It was a lovely walk around and my 6yo loved the play equipment, especially the eagle and the ants den. We will definitely add this to the list to come to again.
Nice forest, quite clean, good for walks. Cafe and toilets, there's also a play area. Generally pleasant to go round. Although parking ticket machines can be a bit temperamental.
Good old Irchy country park, solid for a walk around but definitely bring wellies if it has even considered raining. Well marked out trails with history infos on surprisingly unvandalised boards. There is a cantelever walkout above one of the old gullies which is definitely worth a walk on. Cafe is nice and has all the usual options. No bins provided other than dog waste bins so you need to hold onto the rubbish which unfortunately not everyone in society is capable of. Massive play park for the kids, my daughter loves it and also the hidden play areas too. There is also a small museum which is centered around the old quarries train line, very informative for the first time you visit. Playground: Huge playground and several smaller ones around the park Restrooms: Very satisfactory places to take care of business Dog-friendliness: Dog plop bins provided so bag it and bin it, surely a super place to get your dog seriously grubby just in time to ruin your carpets Picnic area: Benches provided you bring the food
