Travelled on this ferry 21st January. Do not know what cost was as part of holiday package by GN Holidays to Warners on Isle of Wight. Was booked on 3pm ferry but arrived early and the very nice lady at barrier said we could go on the 2pm ferry. Great. Used the toilet facilities which were clean. Easy drive and parking onto ferry and, despite storm Isha arriving, pleasant trip. 45 minutes back in our car and on our way to Warners.
Did not go in, but videod ferry departing. Very interesting.
It was always nice visiting the terminal. I have been to Isle of Wight a lot of time & I enjoy each visit every time. St. Claire is not as neat as St. Victoria. I love St. Victoria the most & it is the neatest .
Very efficient terminal. I used just the passenger only service as it was a there and back trip to drop off some gear. Was a very quick turnaround getting off dropping my bits off and i got back on the same ferry that took me to the other side very good and efficient service. Was not manned early hours.
Extremely overpriced compared to comparable services in Scotland, Malta to Gozo, or the Olympic peninsula in the USA. Prices depend on time of day and whichever way the wind is blowing. Should be a public service with a flat rate. Same goes for Red Funnel. And another thing that is irritating: everything is "wonderful", "fabulous" or "amazing". We don't need that: just a basic ferry service with wooden benches and no nonsense would be fine for this 30-minute crossing.
The helpful staff make booking in easy. I haven't had to wait long to board any of the times I've used the ferry, although i usually arrive with minutes to spare.. Some of the ferries are newer​ than the others, but all have been clean, tidy and fairly relaxing.
Very simple To book , had to amend & had no problems at all Nice clean ferry Food range could be better They used to have a Greggs at Portsmouth , but they done away with it , shame Still good service & a nice day out
Ferry terminal and crossing were great. Driving through Portsmouth was nightmare
Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Was booked on 8.00am ferry today. Unfortunately due to technical issues there was delays. Can i just say although this is frustrating , a couple of lady port operator controlling traffic in the parking lanes, who i now to be wendy and lindsay were extremely helpfull, keeping us updated, and also offering drinks vouchers. Valued staff members of wightlink.x
