Booked a table for myself and my family for my 60th birthday. Were ttold that 5 of us should squeeze together as that's all the room they had, then decided to 'make it work' and fit us in. Food took ages to come. Didn't have time for dessert as next customers would be arriving at 4.45pm. Been here a few times and has been lovely but can't say that today, spoiled my birthday a wee bit. Not sure I'll come back
Booked lunch for 4 people at 1pm. We ordered Xmas turkey, small portions. At 1.52pm food had not arrived. No one came near us after our drinks arrived to say food would be late or forthcoming. Asked waitress to enquire. Eventually food came after 2pm. Food was obviously previously made and reheated so couldnt understand the time it took. At 2.30 we were given menus for dessert and at 2.45 asked if we wanted anything. Unfortunately, we had allowed 2 hours before being picked up. No time for dessert. Shocking time to wait for lunch and not that tasty. Xmas lunch, no carrots, parsnips or cranberry sauce!!! Place was not too busy and speaking to customers on either side of us, they were experiencing same issues. Such a shame as only pub in the village. Pull your socks up Invergowrie Inn if you want return customers.
Love the food here. Sometimes tricky getting a table as its so busy and popular. Staff are friendly. Sometimes a bit of a wait in between courses but usually due to it being busy. Dont mind waiting as the food is fab and its a great place to relax
First time visiting with my mum yesterday. Delicious food and lovely staff with very reasonable prices. We'll be back
Disappointed today. We are fairly frequent visitors here and always enjoyed our meals. Today however the experience wasn't the best, table booked for 12pm and order taken promptly and drinks supplied. I was only 1 in our party of 3 having a starter and it arrived about 30 minutes later. Our mains arrived at 1pm, almost an hour after being ordered and the pub wasn't busy when we arrived. My breaded fish was small by usual standards and my wife's Steak Pie was dry and not particularly enjoyable. Don't think we will be going back.
