Inverewe Gardens
"Rare species thrive in this award winning National Trust for Scotland’s most northerly heritage garden as the effects of the Gulf Stream meet the Highlands. Wonder at the calendar of colour and scents - and a see rhododendrons in flower every month of the year! This year 2022 we are commemorating Osgood Mackenzie - the gardens creator - with an amazing exhibition in the Visitor Centre telling his story entitled ‘The Impossible Garden’. Together with his daughter he created a 54 acre garden amid a barren wilderness on the shores of Loch Ewe.This season sees the reopening of stunning Inverewe House and the adjoining Sawyer Art gallery with a fascinating exhibition season planned from Easter onwards. We loved it here, the walks are beautiful and seeing all the different flowers and plants was amazing. We saw seals in the water near the jetty which was really lovely. The lady on reception Kate was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of information. We spent a few hours here because it was so lovely.
Lovely gardens by the loch, so many different types of rhododendrons and interesting plants from around the world. A few paths shut due to recent storm damage but actively being repaired. Saw some seals down by the jetty! The shop and larger cafe were shut but there was a small cafe selling sandwiches, hot and cold drinks and cake.
Last time I was here was almost 30 years ago and it's amazing to see the differences between then and today. Some things were big then and now they're huge! The variety of plants here is incredible and we even saw squirrels, heron and a seal by Cuddy Rock. The kids did the passport trail which kept them interested and entertained. The waterlilies are lovely now, another week and they'll all be in bloom. We got a family ticket which cost £33 and we spent almost 3 hours here so the price is definitely a bargain. We probably would have spent longer if we'd stopped for something from the cafe or visited the gallery which we didn't but only because we didn't have the time. I did buy some plants for my own garden though. Great place!
Truly stunning plants and scenery, such a special place, well worth a visit. So much to see and yet so relaxing and peaceful. Definitely make time to visit if you can! Restrooms: Plenty of toilets available at the entry and in the main house. Dog-friendliness: Dogs on a lead are allowed in most of the gardens, signs show where they are not allowed such as the walled garden.
Awesome visit to Inverewe Gardens. Staff were all great! Especially the lady creating us at the front. Our 3 year old loved exploring the gardens and different trails. Great visit for all ages.

Another Scotland jem !! Restrooms: There is tea rooms and toilets. Dog-friendliness: Well behaved dogs are allowed. Picnic area: Picnic benches was around the car park area.
A truly wonderful garden on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. Incredible collection of plants, lovely walks and a well stocked cafe. Cannot recommend highly enough. Restrooms: Clean and well maintained Dog-friendliness: Highlighted, dog-friendly paths.
Fantastic walks around the grounds here and plenty to see. The little cafe at the back was a great stop for some tea. Friendly and informative staff throughout. Most paths were very easy and accessible.
Really lovely garden dating back to Victorian times with stunning views and incredible variety of plants and trees. Now part of National Trust for Scotland. Nice café and shop too. Staff all excellent. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful scenery, would have been nice if the building had been open which it seems like they may have an "off season" but that didn't stop us having a wander around. Parking meter was out of order. Worth bringing some cash to donate. Good place to walk the dog too. It looks like there are boat tours on the lake in summer that would be really good. Plants and trees are well signposted if you're into that. Well worth a visit overall, we went twice as the first time it was getting dark not long after arriving and there's no lighting
