Great pub in Lee on the Solent and it is by the sea. Had their Christmas roast dinner with a pudding and a drink. Very reasonable £25 for two. The carvery was a help yourself, absolutely delicious. Choice of three meats and about 6 veg, roast and mash potatoes. Yorkshire pud, gravy and sauces. Food is really tasty. For pudding had the apple pie and custard again delicious and a huge bowl filled to the top. Absolutely stuffed Great value for the money. The pub is warm and cozy Great on a cold evening. The staff were very friendly. Definitely going back.
Lovely breakfast the sausages are top quality and they have real butter! Reasonably priced as it is all you can eat. Also the lady at front of house is always so polite and attentive not sure of her name.
Expensive for poor quality food. Ordered a gammon steak but got old cuts from the gammon joint they were using for the all day roast. Luke warm/ cold gammon obviously kept under the heat lights. Chips and eggs were okay though. My wife ordered a traditional roast what wasn't great either. Bottomless sundae but only do 1 flavour vanilla The glassware wasn't exactly clean. The build up of lime scale from the dishwasher wasn't nice either. Using parts of the place of a dumping area also. The tablet I was placed on seems like kids were allowed to colour/draw all.over the table or was found down the street lol.
Been here quite a few times Great value for money No longer queuing for the carvery they now call you up : Good varied menu at very reasonable prices Large establishment so can cope with bigger gatherings but prob best too ring ahead
Delicious food, good serving size, pleasant atmosphere, and some crayons and paper for the kids so they could do some colouring activities, not for them to eat
Kids meal ? no side or sauce burnt inedible chicken nuggets.... and soggy buger on other kids meal...been alot of times before and never had such a bad experience as this time...Abrupt almost rude staff, had to clean our own tables with a dirty cloth and spray bottle passed to us by waitress....... just poor all alround never again! busy or not no excuse!
Very nice Sunday carvery very reasonably priced. Turkey carved from a whole turkey, beef, pork, gammon. Stuffing, yorkshire pudding. Extra cost for pigs in blankets.
Nice carvery and tasty burgers. Food is reasonably priced with a fair sized beer garden at the back
We always enjoy having breakfast here. The staff are lovely, always friendly and accommodating and the breakfast never fails to satisfy. It really can't be beaten on price and quality and we always leave feeling full. Thank you for always giving us service with a smile.
Excellent Carvery and service as always will definitely be visiting again in the near future. Only criticism was having to wait over 15 min after being seated and drinks order was taken before being called up for carvery when it was not busy in fact it was empty for much of that period. Once seated and drinks order taken there should be no more than 5 min before being called to the carvery. Room for improvement.
