Small restaurant, friendly staff and average food. Don't expect anything special but still worth a meal. Starters from 4.90 pounds, main from 9.50 pounds
Went after spotting a groupon deal and enjoyed the food although had to pay surcharges on everything which was annoying and only had basic chicken dishes. Had to pay a surcharge on mixed started which was very minimal but the food itself was good. Found the service a bit off, had to ask to order after being walked past several times and it felt as though nobody was aware we were arriving even though we had booked. We also got put next to a very loud party and could hardly hear ourselves over them. Not the venues fault as such but also felt like the hot plates were getting closer and closer to my friend each time they were brought out to the large party due to the lack of space. Nice enough but doubtful I'd return.
I love this restaurant, it's been a favourite for nearly a decade, and stands out from other restaurants in the area. Food is very very tasty with authentic flavours and dishes you just won't find elsewhere. A contemporary, intimate and welcoming atmosphere with a friendly team.
Really poor service tonight. It took 1hr 50 minutes for our meal to be brought out from ordering. The cellar where had our table was cold with a provided blower heater in the corner of the room, which was just not up to the job. I really think the team at Indigo tonight should have opted to turn us away, rather than struggle on what was clearly an under-staffed Saturday night. We had to keep reminding staff of drink orders, asking for new cutlery and napkins etc. The fire alarm then went off twice due to the sizzling food. I don't believe this cellar area is very suitable for serving this type of food. All that being said - the food was lovely, just really let down with such a bad experience. At least it wasn't a special occasion for us. Like the table next door who had a birthday celebration!
I ate here while travelling, the staff are very friendly and the food was great. The staff seemed to know the locals by name and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The portions were good and not obscene to the point of feeling bloated, starters are definitely viable without ending up with a mountainous amount of food. Recommended
Good service and very nicely prepared food, not too oily or salty as we tend to find a lot of Indian food. Good choice on the menu, made a bit complicated by having a Groupon as there were a lot of surcharges for different dishes but we felt we got value for money as the food was fresh and good quality.
This was our first visit the Food was fantastic, service was fantastic, staff very friendly knowledgeable & helpful. We would definitely recommend a to everyone. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
Great tasting authentic food with great service. Cannot fault this restaurant and staff and would highly recommend a visit. Indigo never fails to impress and I will certainly return to sample some more of the tasty dishes.
Good food, good atmosphere, owner run very welcoming and friendly. Been a few times now never disappointed. If you want a more authentic taste just ask or you get the standard Western softy version. Be brave tell the owner how you want it and they will go the extra mile to accommodate you...
Staff were kind to fit us in with no booking but when our waiter found out we had a Groupon voucher he was not impressed. We felt bad for having bought one. We had a yoghurt mint dip that tasted very unusual. The table was dirty as was the food heater and my cutlery. Food was not great and very dry. Tempura chicken was very greasy. Vegetables in both main courses consisted of at least a whole onion and two small pieces of pepper. Our rice never arrived. When we said our rice hadn't arrived they were not particularly interested. We won't return with or without a Groupon we might consider returning if you pay us.
