My one star is aimed specifically at the customer service where the staff was being extremely patronising and dismissive. This was probably because I am in my mid twenties and clearly they didn’t think I would be an important enough customer but I am sorry to say even though I have just purchased a flat which is completely EMPTY I will most certainly not be buying anything from India Jane due to this experience. Furthermore having seen a few people having similar reviews I thought I should also share my unpleasant experience so that others too can read it and not feel like they’ve just imagined being treated like dirt on their shoe.
The store fills you with expectations of professionalism and good customer service. I can say 1st hand this is unfortunately not the case in reality. A very disappointing experience particularly with customer service when I asked for assistance in returning an item. I am not English, have an accent and the manager talked down to me with an obvious distaste and ingnorant superiority which caught me by surprise. I may have mistakenly expected more class from the staff but not the manager. Altogether a disappointing experience which a have taken the time to express. I really have better things to do than deal with people like this. Don't be fooled, AVOID and decline any urge to visit or purchase from this store.
More Downton Abbey than slick and trendy. Not the place for the less-is-more-people but paradise for us who like traditional glam.
