The imperial music venue has an extensive selection of beers lager and cider, including four cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales. The cask ales we sampled on our visit were in excellent condition. It is a good venue for live music and great beer. There is a large stage for bands and lots of music events during the week. There is a pool table and a covered outside seating area. Highly recommend.
Great venue this, bands play here that you wouldn't normally get to see. Could do with a decent IPA though
My first visit here since it became a bar and music venue. I used to work right next door when I was just fifteen and half years old, more years ogo than I care to admit I had a fill in job at Homes Pop factory which I think might be the Gorilla bar now. I worked there whilst waiting to join the navy. It closed down many years ago though. I did visit the imperial a year ago with my brothers but unfortunately it was a ticket only night so we couldn't get in. That was a much busier night. The night we did get in it was quieter. But the music was good, staff were great, drinks were also good with quite a few beers I have never seen before.
I always love visiting this venue. They always treat me like family! It gets better every time I visit! Great selection of ales and a proper music venue!
