Staff are great and it’s a really welcoming gym. However the weights are limited. Most of the gym is cardio. Some weights there’s only one of each and it’s a mission moving the benches with how cramped the cardio machines are next to the weights. Hopefully upgrades are coming because it is a great price with access to the pool it’s just a lacking on machines compared to the other gyms in Ilfracombe.

Pool is nice but times aren’t properly advertised. All staff know this yet nothing is changed. Never know when I can bring kids or not. There’s always lane swimming so trying to swim with kids is a bit of a nightmare. Small pool never seems to be open. Changing rooms pretty manky.
Water warm and nice, reception not quite warm and nice. She didn't tell me there is 25 minutes left before closure cleaning during a five minute conversation until after I registered online and paid for the parking and the swimming ticket. Parking is paid byr very cheap like 80p for two hours. Pretty clean as well.
Typical local pool that needs a really good manager with some initiative and a little cash to knock it into shape. Many changing room lockers without doors or locks. Changing room floor rarely cleaned. Unexciting and unimaginative aquatic sessions. Such a shame as it's a real asset to the local community. New manager has been appointed who is trying his best to make improvements. The website is one of the most unfriendly and difficult to use I have ever seen but that is down to the company that the council uses to manage the pool.
We waited and waited and waited at reception, no one came, my wife spoke to a local and asked who we see, she replied, welcome to Devon it's always like this, my wife Whent outside and phoned them up, I was at reception listening to the phone ringing, still no one came, at this time we must of been there for half an hour, we just needed the shower, so strolled in the changing rooms and had are showers, came out and still no one at reception, so 5 star for the shower 1 star for the service, never mind, it was £5.70 a swim and shower or £4.10 for a shower, so saved £8.20 job done , we did try.
A little dated but good water temperature. Stuff you want to know; You need 50p for the odd shaped locker - next time I will use two as they are too small to organise my stuff. Car park 40p an hour pay in advance. Hair drier 20p. Toilets paper towels not drier. Communual changing room with cubicles. Shower was lovely and warm. Bring your own toiletries.
Really enjoying my lane swimming, plenty of room in each Lane. Staff friendly and helpful, pool clean, facilities good ‍‍
I learnt to swim in this pool 45 years ago, and much of it looks like it has never changed since. It was fine for a training swim, but looks a bit tired - poor tiling repairs, a leaking pipe in the gents flooding the floor, the sauna with a "permanently closed" sign hanging sadly on the door...
