Decent Station but Needs Better Safety and MaintenancennIlford Station is convenient for travel and has good train connections, but it definitely needs some improvements — especially when it comes to safety. The platforms and entrances could use better lighting and more visible staff presence, particularly during late hours.nnWhile trains usually run on time and the location is central, the overall environment sometimes feels a bit neglected. Cleaner waiting areas, clearer announcements, and more security patrols would make a big difference.nnIt’s an average station that gets the job done, but with a little more care and attention to passenger safety, it could easily be much better.
Ilford Station has really transformed in the past couple of years! The new entrance on Cranbrook Road is modern and spacious, and the entire station feels much more accessible now thanks to the new lifts and step-free access. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s great to see real-time travel info both for trains and connecting buses. The Elizabeth line has made commuting into central London so much faster and more convenient. It’s clear a lot of effort has gone into making the station cleaner, safer, and more user-friendly. A big improvement overall!
The area is highly accessible, with multiple transport lines connecting to various parts of London, including a direct link to Stratford. It's conveniently located near central London and is surrounded by impressive high-rise buildings. Additionally, the cleanliness of the environment contributes positively to the overall experience.
Ilford Station has improved a lot recently with a modern new entrance and better accessibility, including lifts to all platforms. It's now part of the Elizabeth Line, making travel to central London much quicker and easier. The station is clean, well-organized, and feels much safer. Staff are helpful, and facilities like waiting rooms and help points are a big plus. It's also conveniently located near the high street and Valentines Park. A great upgrade overall!
The main entrance at Ilford Hill looks modern and well connected, but it’s not very practical for drop-offs or pick-ups. There’s no real space to stop nearby, which makes it inconvenient if you’re arriving by car or taxi.nnOn the plus side, this entrance has lifts, making it much easier for passengers with heavy luggage, buggies, or mobility needs. If accessibility is important, this is the better entrance to use.
