IKEA has an excellent collection of everyday home appliances and furnishings. Their display of room layouts and home interior designs are unmatched and of top notch quality. To be honest the only reason I visited was to try the infamous IKEA Meatballs. They deserve every single bit of fame that they get as it was arguably one of the finest piece of culinary delights I had the luck of experiencing. I also recommend shopping/visiting during the closing time as there is a high chance of getting free leftovers from the ground floor food court. Overall, IKEA is a somewhat affordable home decor shop that sells products that mostly needs self assembly. Must visit 9/10
When I go to Ikea, my first stop is the food court. The food is very delicious. But I can't say the same for drinks. The taste of drinks gets worse over time. The cleanliness of the dining area is not bad but could be better. I like Ikea products very much, but the prices have increased compared to the past. Kitchen products are very useful and minimal. Very solid products. I love coming here and traveling. It is very enjoyable to discover changing concepts.
Good shop. It's great to find things you would not expect you can find or need. Friendly and helpful staff. Great experience while stepping through different departments of the store. On-site restaurant and bistro worth a try.
Been to many IKEA stores, pleasantly surprise, quite a big store and great range..bought a phone stand and lindt remover..looking for mirrors, wall decor, clock etc for bedroom. ..the hot chocolate/coffee smell made us go to the restaurant and ended up trying random food, so so but very good idea shop while you have your dinner!
I absolutely love it ! It is huge of course as all IKEA stores, we had a great shopping experience , got few discounts bits from their supermarket section like cookies and chips and turned out to be really good . I also shopped some accessories from their home section as they have lots of great accessories that I didn’t know I needed! We had a nice dinning experience too! The food was so good at their restaurant and as always very much affordable! Clean and organized.
Lady on click and collection desk has no customer care skills. I asked politely if there were any mobility scooters? She replied very bluntly "No" So I asked do you have any wheelchairs? again a blunt reply "No" I asked "So you don't even have wheelchairs?" Her final reply was "We do but none available " Her body language looked like she wasn't bothered and no smile just a glare, closing with "Ok" May I suggest she goes for additional training around customer service!
The location is out of the way in Ashton so it’s literally a journey from Manchester/Salford. With that being said, combined with the overwhelming set up that feels like a maze, it is worth planning ahead and avoiding the rush hour/weekends as you could easily spend hours there. Thankfully, there’s a restaurant on site with a cheap deli at the entrance where you can replenish and energise yourself. At the end of the day, home delivery starts from £4 for small items and £40 for larger items which is honestly less stressful if you’re not looking for bargains from ex-showroom displays.
I discovered that Ikea have a preloved and preowned section on their website. On there I found two cabinet doors and a mirror I was looking for at half the price. They reserve them for you 48hrs I went straight to the section on the ground floor, and an assistant scanned my email receipt, brought out my goods, and then I paid, returned to my car and home I went. Quick, easy process.
Great value for well constructed furniture so long as you have patience with the slightly cryptic imagery following the instructions booklet. Especially if you have an item which has multiple uses! IKEA Manchester is a great location. Easy to get to and on most occasions there is ample parking. The rooftop carpark is much easier and safer than the 3rd floor so long as the lovely Manchester weather isn't too wet! Plus you can be highly entertained watching people cram their purchases into the back of their cars
A really good place, and should merit at least one more star, but the hassle of walking through the maze, finding the bits in their warehouse, and then getting all the way back to the car park all adds to the overall time, hence one star lost. The other thing I did not like was that to actually buy something you have to get an assistant to enter it all into a computer for you. Although to be honest it was at that point that I realised that the cabinet could be totally customised to your preference. Amazing! Other than that, a really good place to get furniture, kitchenware, bedroom furniture etc etc and other stuff. I also felt it was a little pricey. Not the IKEA of old at all. However, recommended and would go again.
