Igloo hybrid review I stayed five nights at this lovely, quirky hostel right in the centre of Nottingham. The two women on reception were welcoming and very efficient. I had a small, single-use room with a single bed which included a chair, bedside table, small portable fan, small wall-mounted mirror and two hooks on which to hang clothes. One hanger was provided. It is styled as a ‘beach hut’- a really great idea! The bathroom and toilet was just outside the door and was exceptionall clean. Other bathrooms and toilets were readily available nearby. There is a kitchen/diner to the left of the small reception desk with plenty of fridge space, an electric cooker, kettle and a very comfy sitting room with sofas. Tea and coffee were free- a nice bonus. This is a very clean, good value, well maintained place. I think this place is very well-managed: there are clear, well defined procedures for its smooth running, ensuring very good service and value for money. Highly recommended for experienced travellers with realistic expectations.
Don't be put off by it being a hostel, I've stayed in hotels that could learn from these guys! Clean, not noisy at all, comfy beds, clean showers, wifi - everything you need for a short stay. Will definitely use again Rooms: 5/5
This was perfect for stop for me and my son. After going to rock city. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and really clean. It exceeded my expectations considering the cost which is very reasonable. Would definitely go back and recommend. Walkability: Perfect inner city location.
A very friendly place to stay for short periods. Well laid out kitchen for self catering. A very comfortable lounge and a small dining area, also a patio area. Only downside is that it's not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there is no lift. Also Friday and Saturday nights get noisy due to the bar next door. Would recommend earplugs.
Fantastic room for the price, right in the middle of town and a 15 minute walk from trent bridge for the cricket. My dad took some talking in to staying at a hostel but even he had no complaints at the ensuite room.Rooms: 5/5
Had a great vibe to it. We got the train themed room which was super cute and shared a bathroom with two other rooms. The location was right in the centre of the city near a tram stop and all the major shops and restaurants. The beds are bunk beds and each rooms locked individually. Only faults are the building is old so it is cold during the night and it’s next to Bierkeller so it was loud until 2am. We slept great but it is something to keep in mind. Second time we’ve stayed and will again Rooms: Each room has a theme around the name painting in a bright style Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walking radius. Nearby there’s ice skating, bowling and the caves Food & drinks: A kitchen that you can access majority of the time if you bring food with you
Very handy location. Nice room with ensuite. Bed mattress was very sagged in the middle. Walkability: About as close to the centre of Nottingham as you can get.
The receptionist male was very arrogant. Despite being there he kept asking for additional proof because of my ethnicityasian. I showed him my work ID which he refused to accept. He said he doesn't mind me not to book again there as he was not bothered at all. I've stayed there twice before and the lady was so accommodative and welcoming. This guy was very unwelcoming and disgruntled .He took his own time to open the door whilst inwas waiting outside. Very poor professionalism from ggis guyDnl.
Forgot to take pictures but the rooms and latrines were clean and tidy. Thank you! Definitely worth the price.Rooms: 5/5
Really cute little place right in the centre of Nottingham, ten mins walk from the train station. Reception staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the room was clean and cosy. Highly recommend! Will be back.Rooms: 5/5
