Nice hotel in a good location next to a Greene and King pub. We were able to have two meals for £11.99 and drinks which was good value. Room was clean, spacious and had a view of the river. Definitely will stay againRooms: 5/5
The hotel was well located for our trip. The room had everything we needed - bed, tv, kettle, lots of hot water for the shower. There was noise at the back of the hotel in the evening from deliveries and the curtains could have been larger to block out more light.Rooms: 3/5
This is the true definition of a 2-star hotel. The carpet in the room was ancient and so had lots questionable stains and dust on it. The furniture looked straight out of the 90s. Overall though the staff were friendly and the room was as clean as it could be given it's age so I can't complain. I only stayed for 1 night and it was just a place to lay my head and was really good value at less than £50 for the night. Walkability: The hotel is walking distance to lots of pubs and restaurants as well as Lidl and Costa Coffee.
This was our first stay in your hotels and we were both left disappointed staying at the hotel we chosen. it would have been much better , had it not been for a wedding party came back from the wedding and decided to party and drink till 4.30am on the Sunday morning and kept myself and my partner up till it all went quiet at around 4.30am / 5am Because of this happening, it spoiled our Sunday stay as we were so tired due lack of sleep. we were staying in room 3 , which is near to the reception , where the party was going on. i thought the staff could have asked them to keep the noise down, or at the very least , closed the corridor doors to keep the noise down. we had plans for Sunday, but due to being tired due the night`s before reception party and noise. we decided to stay in our room. but other than that, our stay was ok. The staff could not be more helpful during the day , but we feel we were let down by the nighttime staff. rooms were good, beds ok. not to comfortable though. i don't think i would recommend the hotel, if this is what we will have to look forward to in our next stay. sorry. Rooms: rooms are ok. beds not to comfortable . but good showers . Walkability: very close to the canal walkways and town
Stayed over to see family, easy check-in, clean room, bed surprisingly comfortable only one pillow each could have probably done with two but slept perfectly well anyway Breakfast, decent choice, did the job. Overall perfect for the price you payRooms: 4/5
Good size carpark and its free be sure to enter your registration number plate at reception. Quick check-in no information given at all heres your keycard that was it ! Lift to all floors. Room was very basic but spacious Bed comfortable enough Shower was good WiFi was very hit and miss! Location is next to the canal and town centre also next to a pub . Not sure id stay again as other hotels with nicer rooms and same price close by.
Very poor the rooms were disgusting bed sheet dirty with pubic hair all over and suspicious white stains. Woke up covered in bed bug bites so inspected the room and was in utter shock at how filthy the room was every square inch was repulsive. Informed the staff and they didn’t seem one bit bothered didn’t inspect the rooms didn’t do anything about the fact that there is a bed bug infestation. In my opinion and I’m sure many others this place needs closed down. Due to how disgustingly dirty the room was and no help from staff I had to sleep in my van !!I RATE 0 STAR Rooms: Vile
Stayed here over the Christmas hols and I honestly would not recommend this place. My wife has mobility issues and there were no disabled bays that were free as they had cars parked with no blue badges displayed. In fact one of the bays had a builders pick up parked in the bay. We had to park round the corner and it was difficult for her to get to the hotel. Spoke to reception and the response was just we can’t do anything!!. Moving onto the room itself on first impressions the reception area was clean and looked welcoming but the room was disgusting!!! The carpet is so thin you may as well not have any and the smell in the room was like someone’s had a dirty dog in there. Carpet was dusty also. Anywhere that was not visible was covered in dust badly. The edges of the bed were at least 2mm deep in dust. The rear of the TV was also just covered in dust. The bathroom was ok but hadn’t been cleaned properly. The noise from the room next door was just awful. Don’t have an issue with couples having a good time but when you’re in a hotel you’d at least expect to have decent sound proofing so you can’t hear people doing their business. Moving onto the breakfast it’s so not worth £12. All the food was dry just sat on a hot plate not fresh, tasted bland. Had to queue for the bloody toaster as had a family of about 4 that were using the toaster so then gave up and went without. The coffee machine wasn’t working and had to wait about 10 mins for someone to come and sort that out. Also during every night of our stay there were people constantly running up and down the corridor and noisy. I expect people come in and various times but no respect at all for other guests. The management really need to sort these issues out. There are better places as this was the first and last time we will ever book an Ibis. We travel ton West Yorkshire a lot but no way will I stay in an Ibis again. The breakfast a joke, room dirty and dust everywhere have photos which I’d be more than happy to post but I think the worst for me would be the fact that my wife being disabled made it difficult to park there. Not sure why a builder or whatever he does would park his pick up there as clearly it’s a free for all as all other cars parked there were not displaying blue badges either. If you’re disabled don’t bother as we stayed for 3 nights and it was the same situation every day. If you have mobility issues then this place isn’t for you as you won’t get a parking bay and the staff don’t monitor whether vehicles are displaying a valid blue badge.
Another great stay, the staff are very good. Hotel situated just it the north of Bradford makes it easy to visit that area of Yorkshire. The village of Saltaire a short walk from the hotel don’t miss it.
Love this place, very relaxing, staff friendly and helpful. Great price, location peaceful, free parking, room a good size, free WiFi , very comfortable bed, shower great with good pressure. Food freshly cooked and tasty. What more could you want. Thank you all at Ibis Shipley Anne Harrogate
