When we entered at 6pm, the waitress asked us if we had a show to go to after. After saying yes, at 8pm, she expressed grave concern that there might not be enough time to eat. This was a bit confusing. As it turned out, the food arrived reasonably promptly and had plenty of time too for dessert. The main courses were good if a little bit expensive for what you get. The desserts were superb, especially the cheesecake. The walnut puree dessert, a Hungarian specialty we were assured, was good as well. In general a good little restaurant serving food that you don't often get to eat in North West England. Worth a stop!
We had never eaten Hungarian food before.. what a revelation! Absolutely bloomin’ LOVED IT! Every course was more delicious than the last.. we were blown away. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. The waitress was lovely, the restaurant itself was lovely, the Hungarian wine was lovely. We WILL BE BACK!
Dined here with my friend Jennie yesterday evening 21st November 2022 The hosts were welcoming and friendly with a good selection of food and beverages to choose from. I had a stuffed meat pancake starter, with catfish and chips for my main course . The dessert I chose was a generous slice of honeycomb cheesecake washed down with a can of genuine Hungarian IPA Saproni. I thought it a good choice to eat here, as it is my first time staying in Blackpool. The food was excellent and delicious. A little gem of a restaurant.
Very nice, smallish Hungarian restaurant on the first floor. I found it through Google Maps. Just by walking by I might have missed it - the "on the street" marketing should be more aggressive. And missing it would have been a shame. Having been to Budapest, I can certify that this place offers authentic, good quality Hungarian dishes. The menu is rather small, always a good sign. Despite the reports about "huge" portions, I decided to go for a starter and a mains: Liver pâté, plus goulash. Good thing I did that: The portions were adequate, but certainly not "huge". But the food was tasty and carefully prepared, well presented. And the atmosphere is quiet, always a plus for me personally. Can't praise the service enough! Extremely friendly, helpful, and forthcoming. But the biggest surprise was that the restaurant offers a very decent Hungarian craft IPA: Soproni. Most "exotic" as in: non-English restaurants in Blackpool don't care about good beer at all! The restaurant is also a shop for Hungarian delicacies, like eg various sausages, for which the country is justly famous. They don't come cheap though. ; All in all, wholly recommendable, as are most establishments on this street, excluding the gravely disappointing "Yorkshire Fisheries".
Our first visit and very enjoyable it was. Friendly welcome on arrival and very enjoyable meal, lovely food. Would definitely recommend. Vegetarian options: We did not have it, but noticed vegetarian option available.
We arrived not long before closing time but they were so friendly and accommodating. Food was INCREDIBLE we had the Bakonyi style chicken with dumplings and the beef goulash with rice - so much flavour, so comforting. The Hungarian beer was crisp and refreshing to wash it all down and the whole feel to the place made for a wonderful meal! We will 100% be returning next time we're in Blackpool!
Lovely place, very tasty with big portions. Well recommended. See you again soon !
I was in Blackpool on business and went in on my own for dinner. The food was excellent, I visit Hungary occasionally and it’s very authentic. Lovely staff, a nice selection of drinks and a small shop as well. I’ll definitely come back and I recommend it to anyone who likes good food.Nagyon szépen köszönjük
Absolutely beautiful-the exquisite food, the authentically decorated restaurant and the attentive service! We had the set menu, which was fantastic value, with lots of choice. If we didn't live 300 miles away, we would be 'regulars'!
We ate the Cheese in breadcrumbs, Pork Medalion and Melon with ham. All the meals and deaserts were absoloutly wonderful! We recomend this restaurant to everyone! Also the stuff is lovely. We are definitely coming back here if we get a chance!!!
