I haven't been to the theatre for years due to past experiences of insanely cramped seats and far away views but decided to go see Cluedo 2 and was impressed by the leg space and view of the stage. I've since seen 2:22 and have booked to see The Mind Mangler and Everybody's Talking About Jamie! The staff are all very friendly and the toilets nice and clean. I think I'm going to be a regular visitor! There's a lovely little bar attached that you can go in if you're far too early which I often am!
Went to watch An officer and a gentleman the musical today. What an awesome show. Amazing how the set is utilised for each scene. The 80’s songs fitted each and every scene perfectly. The actors and singers were fantastic and put us right into each and every scene. Absolutely fantastic present for my best friends birthday treat
We had a wonderful time, we went to see the musical & Juliet Outstanding we decided to eat at the theatre before the show and so pleased we did. The food was hot but portions small, tasty though, a special mention to our waitress 'Jackie' she really did make our experience a memorable one, a wonderful personality and friendly smile, she gave everyone in the restaurant her full attention despite been run off her feet and looked after us all. We will return just for Jackie's wonderful service *****
Nice theatre. Went to see Officer and a Gentleman 8 Nov 24. Theatre has its own bar with plenty of seating and a good selection of drinks. Seating was a bit uncomfortable for me. Not a lot of leg room, Toilets nice and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.
“Dirty Dancing:” All the cast love this theater for the show. More intimate feeling and closer to the audience. Great acoustic, ample space for changes and wardrobe village. Good site lines to the audience. Audience not to wide or high. Staff here very helpful. Gavin at stage-door told me the theatre opened in 1939. Laurel and Hardy use to play here. Also Chico Marx who tipped all the stage crew the equivalent of their weeks salary! Lots of security getting in and wifi takes at least 24 hrs to setup. Never worked, but wifi in Hull is all dodgy. Like the audiences here and am looking forward to exploring Hull. Many extraordinary buildings and much history here. I’m loving it.
