Fantastic bar & restaurant in the St Giles Hotel. Staff are amazing and so friendly, great food too. My son & I have been visiting this place since 2011 and we'll be back.Food: 5/5
It’s spacious bar and restaurant by St Giles hotel. The Camembert cheese could Improve with the cranberry sauce and upgrade bread quality. For main, Cote de boeuf thought it was perfectly executed juicy and meat was tender. Pork ribs taste wasn’t too my liking. It was bit dry and didn’t have too much sauce to it. Overall, decent restaurant to dine in. Kid-friendliness: Does not have baby high chair so not child friendly.
Suggestion from my buddy, and a good one, and at a nice discount. Warm welcome, courteous manager, friendly efficient staff, felt in good care. Nice menu for a hotel restaurant, with classics and all. The grill selection looked fabulous but at a price, worth it though. The baked camembert to share was gooey, nice to chat over. Good selection of drinks, Peroni 0.0 was great. Cote de Boeuff was really properly cooked, tasty, and well presented. At full price I'd debate the value, but at a discount it was perfect. Nice chips , salad, beans. Knifes could be sharper and bearnaise could have more flavour, good texture though! Great lively atmosphere, some of the decor was eh .... saucy! Overall, very enjoyable evening, staff and food equally good and memorable. I dig this !
Very nice restaurant. The staff was very friendly and organized a table for me, even as every place was already reserved. Good advice for food, the fish and chips were outstanding. Beer was okay, nothing special but fine anyway. Prices are a bit high, but still acceptable.
It was busy and nice pub. We went to try british food. However, it was a very standard and expensive one. Couldn't finish the chicken because of the test. The service was 20% which I find very high. Vegetarian options: There was a section in the menu, but not many options.
Hudson’s House it’s a great place to spend a nice evening. Food is very good, beer it’s even better and atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. We would love to come back. Especially we appreciate the lamb chops and the steak, it was 5 stars above everything else we had in London and in much more expensive places.
Decent functional hotel restaurant. We did a pre theatre meal. 6 adults - starters and mains all served quickly. Starters were pretty basic but mains were impressive. Decent portion size. Dinner plus drinks for £200. 12.5% service charge added. Service very impressive. Staff friendly. Delicious grilled chicken salad. And huge portion on the pork belly.
Lovely place, great vibe with uplifting happy disco music of 70s & 80s and the staff were superb! I had the 3 course pre-theatre menu. Chicken liver pate presented in a rustic wooden tablet and pate in a cute little jar. My main of chicken, mash, veggie and gravy was ok. The dessert of brownie served with chocolate ice-cream as they had run out of vanilla. Not refined but honest and hearty food, with good vibe and pleasant atmosphere at a good price. Great for a quick pre-theatre meal.
Very underrated place. Not only is the beer and food selection decent, but they also offer 25% off regulars whereas before it was only 20%, more informal with no card, know how to cook a meat medium rare, how to make a peppercorn sauce and fries. Very nice service and atmosphere and good food for an ok price given the quality ps: I ate half of the cote de boeuf before taking the pic, I normally go for the burger. They open the window screens in summer, so it’s perfect for outdoor seating restaurant food is only available inside though unless you go for bar food. A regular go-to in the area for informal meetings
WOW. BEST. STEAK. EVER! Cooked to perfection. In fact, I couldn't fault any of the food we ate here! Highly recommend!!! Service was also really great! I recommend trying the Goats cheese and red onion tart, on-the-bone rib steak, and both the chocolate brownie and eton mess were all delicious. Thanks for such a lovely food experience!
