Shop isn’t even a shop anymore. Do not go here because the business owner clearly can’t even be bothered to update their store times. Terrible service. Reply to owner: Update it on maps then, because nobody is going on your website to check when the map services say it’s open. You could have apologised for the inconvenience caused by your incompetence. It takes 2 seconds to change business hours on Google, so why would anyone go to a mechanic who simply can’t be bothered?
Useless!! 4 pm on a Monday afternoon - the sign on the locked door states "we only do repairs by appointment". All I wanted was to purchase an inner tube and tyre. I rang the bell several times and received no response. The lights were on but no one answered. I can only assume that they have no interest in selling parts, but only in doing custom repairs - BE WARNED. A wasted journey.
Really helpful! Not many bike shops locally sell a range of cargo & utility bikes which was why I visited late last year. They had the Tern bike I was interested in and were happy to customise it. The result is a great bike with huge gear range etc - very pleased :

Noticed I had a puncture on my way home so stopped in at the Hub Cycleworks. Team were really friendly and fit me in very quickly. Bike was done within 1.5hrs and they even checked over the rest of my bike for me. Very good price and great service.
Unfortunately I’ve had to change my review the initial service was great but follow up has been appalling. Six months on still waiting for tyre protection at least 4 phone calls and no responses so don’t trust them if they promise things as my experience is they don’t shame really bike is good. After this review I was contacted and the matter dealt with, I was sad it took the review to do this because of the first experience being so good. However the issue is now resolved and it could have just been a one off I hope so so I have increased the rating again! It was 5 then 1 and now 4 the bike is still
Wasn't overly happy with my experience today. Granted, they were busy even though there was only me in the shop at the time I went in but you just tell the customer that you can't help because you are busy and booked up for however long. Not, let's have a look... followed by them saying that it is beyond their expertise wait, is this not a bike repair shop?. I also got told there is no way they can have it taken in to be looked at fully over the next few days, getting the kind of vibe of they couldn't be bothered. I was recommended The Hub by the seller of my bike, CycleSolutions, but I have fed back to them that I won't be using them again and will try and go elsewhere. I feel like that they are not specialised in e-bikes which is where the issue lies. They even said for me to try a local e-scooter place, not sure how that would help when it's a bike I have brought in, not a scooter. One of the guys was helpful and did try to help me but the initial experience I found with them was not great and they could have shown a bit more of a can-do attitude rather than huffing and telling me to go elsewhere, just found the whole demeanour to be rude to be honest. I won't be coming back and others may have a better experience than me... maybe I just expect a bit more of a nicer customer service when I have gone out of my way to see if they can repair my bike. Oh well. UPDATE Aug 2023 So in reply to their response I would just like to point out that my e-bike is a legal brand and is sold by many retailers. I got the impression they're trying to tarnish my bike as being illegal, well it's not. It's a falcon e-bike. Also, just my two penny... if you can't deal with ALL bikes then PLEASE make this clear on your website and in your store. I want to point out I spent an hour of my time with you "attempting" to look at my bike and being rude and grumpy in the process, hence my poor review. All of that would have been resolved if you had just said no, sorry. Also, for any potential customers reading this, I couldn't recommend enough a similar and local company to use, they are called rideride. They have two branches in Southampton and the guys there are fantastic. They are knowledgeable, can deal with ALL bikes and above all... NO attitude! Perfect. Please avoid The Hub at all costs guys, you have been warned. Another update - January 2024... Well it's funny how another cycle shop branch there's more than one in southampton could look at my "chinese" bike with no issues at all, literally the same day after you turned me away after wasting an hour or so of my time with you. The more you keep replying trying to make yourselves looks good out of this, it looks more and more desperate. My 1 star review stands and I will continue to tell others of my bad experience. AVOID AVOID AVOID....go to rideride, guys. The best service in Southampton, no attitude and can definitely help with any bike.
Came here three days into my three month tour of the British Isles. Everything was completely wrong with my bike setup, I was given loads of great advice and free reign to tinker with my bike in their shop. The tour ended up being the best time of life thus far, the experience was definitely helped by the wonderful, kind people here.
Stopped by for a quick chat with David, who was super passionate about bikes and his store. He helped me try out some new saddles and even gifted me a demo one. 10/10 would stop by again!
Very welcoming and friendly team, helped me diagnose a problem with my EMTB not charging and have leant me a charger until I get mine replaced under warranty. Thanks a million for your help. See you again soon.
