Card never arrived after over 2 months of trying to get a card sent. I was told a card was sent the second time I contacted someone. The next time I called they said the card was never sent and told me they guaranteed my card would arrive within five days. Its been two weeks and it hasn't arrived. That's about two months I've gone without a card.
Age old tech, takes too much time for account setup, debit card delivery.Strange that pin delivery will not be notified to account holder. From my experience, what i have seen so far, this is worst banking service.Their NetBanking is a joke, 5-6set of passwords and when you login after all that, the services available are so basic. Why make it hard and complex to login?Ever heard of two factor authentication?I do regret going to them. When I got the debit card finally,it had two different card in the envelope, banking advisor took one and destroyed it in front of me stating it came in as a mistake. I still don't understand these guys, was it all a joke ?
Service is poor, managent is a joke. wasting time, changing bank is the best option.
Had a good experience with the bank staff during my first visit for opening an account.
Do yourself a favour and skip this branch. Never had problems with HSBC before but holy hell was I in for a ride when I walked in there with my partner to assist with her getting her account upgraded and a credit card to build her credit record for a potential joint mortgage further down the line. My questions were met with annoyance by the consultant who would dial in on my partner and pretend I don't exist. Extremely rude and I felt sure there was an underlying issue the consultant had with me. Worst experience in a bank I've ever had. 1 star extra because the manager was actually friendly and accommodating. Never the less I'm closing my accounts and moving on elsewhere.
We have never encountered such rude staff. After a lengthy wait as we hoped to open an HSBC account we met with a member of staff who seemed in a really bad mood. Astonishingly she was confrontational and argumentative in her questioning of us. Eventually we said, “it seems we are wasting your time”. Can you believe it she said “yes”. Hopefully our encounter is not typical of HSBC. Maybe we will open up an account online. But what happens if we have a problem and have to visit the Belfast Branch of HSBC?
very disappointing, I went to the branch to deposit a cheque arrived at exactly 9.30, waited 5 minutes where no one acknowledge me standing at the door, then we where told we couldn't come in due to a security issue, no other explanation, wasted time and petrol money.
Very good staff farzana akhi she can help you
I hold the dependent UK Visa and with my job offer i really wanted the bank details to be submitted quickly, without which I was not able to get my start date. I explained this to the customer support in call and also during the appointment. But they didn't accept any of the proof that I had with me as a residential proof. Being new to the city, and holding the dependent Visa within a month of period in the city I can only have is my rental agreement along with my id proof. I think for these kinds of cases, it would be good if bank can keep some alternative solutions which will ease the customer's life. And i ended up opening the bank account with some other bank where they accepted my documents.
Never write reviews. one hour minimum phone wait. Into the belfast branch staff took name went on a list to speak to someone in branch. Told to join the queue outside 30min wait time. 50minutes later, brought into a cubicle for a further 60min wait. 1hour 50 minutes i have never experienced such a delay with a bank. Withdrew all monies and Grateful to be going back to First Trust.
