Hoylake post office is a lovely friendly place now that Carol has taken over as the Post Master. The shop is well stocked with cards and stationery, there is also handmade gifts too. The staff seem much happier than they did with the previous chap who ran the place and never smiled. The older reviews left by other people reflect his time in charge. Carol has transformed the place and she will do her best to help her customers.
Very busy on my last visit, but had extremely helpful staff who went out of their way to help with my parcel post dilemma.
This must be the nicest Post Office I’ve ever visited. The staff are really friendly and helpful too.
Just a friendly place to go! Since Carol took over this branch, she has consistently gone the extra mile whenever I have visited. I had no idea that I could do my personal and business banking through the Post Office and it's so easy. The branch is always clean and the retail stock well presented. all the staff are chatty and friendly. We all have different experiences in life. I have enough experience of this branch under it's new ownership to say it's utterly delightful to visit and be able to have a chat! Thank you!
I must say, I’m surprised by the previous reviews. I moved from Liverpool where my local post office were absolutely AWFUL constantly getting my business packages wrong and losing me custom in the process. However now I use this post office and the staff have been SO friendly especially one lady who helps me every time. She provided me with extra stickers for my business packages, a bag, and always runs over to help me. It may be that the other staff are awful, but I haven’t had any experience with them.. only this one lovely woman and she deserves a gold star
If I had the chance to leave a 0 star I WOULD!!!!! I use this post office for my business and I must say it's the most UNFRIENDLIEST & UNPROFESSIONAL business I've been to. The staff are NEVER polite & question you on everything you do in the rudest way possible. Never a smile or a friendly welcome. The Man that works there is the worst of the 3. The West Kirby shop are so friendly and polite it's worth travelling that extra mile to use them.
Never thought I would have to review a Post Office. Been here twice and never had a good experience compared to the dozen other Post Offices I've used on the Wirral where I've never had an issue.
Very poor service from the two ladies behind the counter, was quite surprised as it's usually the postmaster who's a prat but maybe his arrogant attitude has rubbed off on them. Took 6 parcels to be collected by the parcel force drop off service they allegedly provide, from the minute I said 6 parcels they were up in arms. "Six,we can't take 6 ,are they all this big, can't you drop them somewhere else, they need to fit through the hatch,we can reject them you know, can you not bring your parcels here again, can't you take them to moreton and what if someone else brings 6 this size?",were among the comments made. When I pointed out that they were all within the weights and dimensions approved by parcel force for drop off I was told "well we still don't have to take them". I have no issue with them not wanting to take them, but it's rude and unprofessional to make customers feel awkward dropping stuff off if you offer that service, having spoken to parcel force today the post office can remove itself as a drop off point but whilst it offers the service is obliged to take them in if they are within the sizes/weights stated. So sorry ladies, much as I thought your attitude stunk expect to see me for the foreseeable, until you remove your Dropbox service,as much as I'm reluctant to give you my custom, at the moment I'll continue to drop off my big parcels to my nearest and cheapest drop off point which at the moment is STILL you!
Just been to send a parcel. Went at just after 2pm, wasn't too busy. Lady who served me was lovely, helpful and friendly.
They were very rude with no customer service skills I Was wanting to send a parcel and they huffed and puffed because it was 2:15 and they closed at 2:30 Saturday no parcel tape to lend me either I left and went to another post office their attitude really offputting.
