Dreadful experience, I hired them to fix a leak in my roof which was letting water leak through my 8 yr old's bedroom ceiling, over the course of a year I called them out a further 5 times to 'fix' it as it still leaked after paying them £360 cash in hand, I was promised a receipt and to this day have still not received one with no explanation as to why. The roof continued to leak to the point the ceiling collapsed at 2am in heavy rain, if it had been during the day my daughter could have been seriously injured, huge , heavy chunks of plaster came down. The owner of Howard Roofing is now claiming I never employed them but rather he passed the work on to someone else, his son, who did it, of course this was never mentioned to me, I hired Howard Roofing. They refuse to acknowledge any wrong doing and the son just ignores my complaints. I asked for a refund as they had not carried out the work I paid for and they refused. I have had an independent roofing company survey the roof as well as the loss adjuster from the insurance company and both have said a VERY shoddy patch up job was done, reusing the old and worn out lead, the repair job, even done properly would have cost no more than £60. Since I complained to Howard Roofing they have taken their Facebook page down and their website, which all screams 'guilty' to me. I am now having to pay another company £1700 to fix my roof and ceiling and I am still £360 down from what I paid Howard Roofing and they couldn't care less, I am now going to have to deal with this situation by going down the legal route with Trading Standards etc.
