Great place for breakfast!! We stopped by late morning and had brunch. We both opted for the 'big breakfast' I had the veggie, he went for the meaty version. We were both very happy and commented on how yummy it was. Loved the home made beans!! They were absolutely massive portions and I personally didn't do mine full justice, but I tried a bit of everything and it was all really tasty & nicely prepared. We were seated outside on 'the wall' while waiting for a free table which I personally see a good thing - busy nearly always equals a decent place but didn't have to wait too long and the service we received from the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend & revisit next time we're in Sheffield! Fab find. Vegetarian options: Really impressed with what was offered as the full veggie, lovely tasty vegetarian ingredients!
Small and quaint and yet the menu is top tier. So many choices and the staff are so lovely. I’m glad I’ve discovered this place even though it’s been here a while. The inside seating is small so do book if you want to sit inside. Even so the outside seating is enjoyable. I’d be happy to come again soon. Dietary restrictions: They cater to vegan, vegetarians and plenty of options for the Muslim community. Wheelchair accessibility: I’m sure they’d be happy to cater to towards wheelchair users however from the get go it is not wheelchair accessible. It is a small inside area. On a good day there’s plenty of outside seating.
Been here twice now for breakfast and both times food was outstanding. Both taste and presentation wowed us. Recommend the smashed avo, pic speaks for itself. On top of food, its a lovely clean space with rustic decor and lovely staff :Food: 5/5
Delish food, friendly and swift service, lovely atmosphere. All in all, amazing! I had the full veggie breakfast and LOVED it. Will definitely be heading here next time I'm back in Sheffield Vegetarian options: Really tasty veggie breakfast
Great place to hang out. But not for long as this is a popular food place so be prepared as it gets really busy because of their great food and the staff are all lovely! Thank you. Will visit again someday.Food: 5/5
Food was amazing, loved Andy’s Hash it was perfect, the bread was SO good, my friend got a sandwich it looks great too! The atmosphere was cosy and not too noisy, the waiter and waitress were attentive, the drink came pretty quickly after we ordered, and then the food came very efficiently. I had such a lovely brunch with my friend, will definitely recommend it :
This has to be one of the best places I have ever been for food. First off, the atmosphere was incredible. I was greeted so warmly and friendly and given a spot downstairs. The entire time I was there Over an hour as they were so welcoming and hospitable I witnessed every single person who came in, sat down, served, being given amazing friendly sevice. It seem to come natural to the guys working here as well, nothing was forced or too much trouble for anyone. Throughout my lunch, I was speaking to the staff and asked for help with place to visit in Sheffield, what to do etc. They listened and chatted to me which was such friendly service and went a long way. Anyway, food. As I sat down, I was brought over water which was replaced/topped up across my whole visit I ordered the 'Ole' but asked for potatoes in it as well, which of course they told me wasn't a problem. I also ordered an aperol spritz. The food came out, in a big skillet and look amazing. It was so hot, I was also warned to not touch the skillet as it was red hot, so I dipped the bread in to begin with and oh my gosh it was possible one of the nicest things I've ever eaten. The chorizo, mozzerella, beans and cream all mixed together to create a fantastic fusion of flavour and spice. The egg on the top was such a bonus and really complemented the food. The bread was a big door stop piece, that was ridiculously soft and delicious. I can not recommend this place, the food, the atmosphere and lastly the staff higher. I even got the rest of my meal to take away so will be finishing it for dinner.
The BEST coffee shop in Sheffield! A little hidden Gem riot next to Sheffield Hallam University. The place to go to for freshly cooked stunning food. Staff are amazing very polite and professional in what they do. Been going there almost 8 years as a regular customer and still am every week. Honestly you won’t be surprised of how great the place is.
Had a brief stop over in Sheffield and went wandering looking for a quick bite to eat and stumbled upon Howst, What an amazing find. From the moment the door opened you are welcomed in and made to feel at home, the place is nice looking and so friendly. The menu is a modern take on traditional cafe fare with a twist, with the ability to adjust things as needed one of the first things asked is if you have any allergies which is a very nice touch. I had the "Andy Hash" but omitted the egg, and its amazing, deep tomato flavour with a hint of pepper tipped with melted cheese and a proper sized hunk of bread on the side. My partner had a veggie breakfast but as she is vegan they altered it as needed and added something to make it not feel like it was missing out. The staff are amazingly attentive and professional, with a wonderfully friendly atmosphere that makes Howst a reason in itself to visit Sheffield, so much so we came back a touch earlier on our return journey just so we could visit again.
This cafe is SO SO amazing!! Every single item on the menu sounded so delicious, I wanted to try everything! The food that we did order was sooooo tasty, cooked to perfection with great presentation. The staff were all super friendly, funny and helpful - shout out to our server Chris who held great banter with us throughout our meal and added to the experience of the cafe. Such a great breakfast/brunch place and they do bottomless brunch too!
