I tried phoning housing aid today to make an appointment what a total waste of time it was the phone is answered by a automated answering machine then it gives you number options you select your number then the phone rings again but before anybody answers you just get cut off

What is actually the point in this service there is no "aid" given having to use this service and so far its just a massive joke

I used this service a few years ago. My mum, sister and I had been made homeless and we were treated with utter contempt. The police actually stepped in and put us in their meeting house for a few days, but if we hadn't had that help, then we would've been on the streets. We were offered a hostel but it was two bus rides away and we didn't have a penny. Eventually they found us somewhere but it's only a private rent, which is just as expensive - and it was a house no one else wanted, which is why the agency were willing to give it to us. That time is a truly horrible memory.
