I found the ladies helping on the first and second floor not really friendly or helpful either. Some evenings if you come in after 5 pm it seems no one is there, you can spend ages trying to find assistance. the dressing room near MANGO section is always busy, but other rooms have no attendance of staff and those little private dressing rooms are closed! Such a shame.. it makes it really stressful and not enjoyable experience when shopping in this branch at all! In addition, the show section downstairs do not stock size 41, since they have not enough storage space. What a ridiculous thing to say to a customer! why don't you have less selection but instead all sizes available. The shoe section has terrible selection of shoes as well.. always the cheapest basic shoes, hard to find leather shoes.

Decent range but no staff when you need them - takes ages to pay and lots of items don't have prices. Weird!

Small compared to other House of Fraser's however it manages to have everything I need. Would be nice if they had different beauty brands for makeup and clothing brands rather than pure home brands. Staff members - some are lovely and willing to help, however there are some that dont even acknowledge you existence. In terms of rest rooms and changing rooms, needs to be updated. restrooms are just too old school, need nicer more cleanly and modern ones and the changing rooms they are just..... old.

This is my local store, but they don’t carry a lot of choice so I had to use online hof. It was awful. The make up arrived used. When I explained I had to do so to three different people and through three different ways. I had to send photos. Then when I explained I didn’t have a printer and couldn’t print off their emails invoices or returns labels they said to send and they would refund postage. Nearly two moths later and only after I brought in an independent arbitrator did I get a refund, but no on the postage. I had already paid the bill. I got no replacement item no apology and I have a stream of rude emails from a string of different people who never actually read what you send so continue to ask for the same things. At one point three weeks into this I was told to send it back even though I had previously provided photos of the parcel photos of the post office recipet and the tracking number. I will never ever shop here again and it’s been 30years.

Staff are polite and friendly but be great to have a coffee in store no Cafe Nero or zest cafe like other stores. Lighting is poor also but I can always find something to buy.
