I can't express how grateful I am for the help I got from the team here. Being non-binary this was a very threatening process everyone was very open and welcoming, I was treated the same as anyone else this may sound like a given, but unfortunately not!. The dress was tailored really well to my body another big worry and the process was super smooth. I can't but good enough words in, but if you're looking for your dress, stop looking and go here
Having been let down at the very last minute for a kilt outfit for a wedding, i popped in here on the off chance they may have something. I was met by 2 of the friendliest most welcoming women, who advised that they no longer hired kilt outfits but may have one hiding away in the stockroom. To my surprise they managed to find one and it was the prefect fit!! I was also provided with all the extras i needed including a spare jacket and waistcoast on the off chance i didnt like the kilt jacket. I can not thank you both enough for helping me out at short notice. If anyone is thinking of hiring a suit or outfit please go in and see these amazing women. Excellent customer service and i can not recommend them highly enough! Thanks again

A warning to any brides who are considering getting a dress from here- consider if you can get the dress you want from somewhere else. To any brides that already have bought a dress from here- check your dresses carefully after they are altered in plenty of time before your wedding. My experience in a nutshell was as follows: - Fittings/alterations appointments were fine. Nice atmosphere, made me feel confident, lots of promises and assurances were made about my dress being perfect on the day of my wedding it was a dress from the sale but they said it would be like new on the day, they would make sure of it. However: - I spent two hours the night before my wedding sewing bits of the detailing back onto it, bits of detailing that I was assured would be perfect on the day. I picked my dress up on a Sunday my wedding was on a Monday and Waltons advised me to collect on the Sunday so the dress didn't get creased in the bag, so by the time I got to my hotel and took the dress out of the bag it was too late to try to get in touch with Waltons to discuss it. - When getting dressed on the morning of my wedding the panel that was supposed to be sewed in an issue with the dress that Waltons promised to fix fell out because it wasn't secured correctly and was too small. My bridesmaids had to help me adjust it throughout the day to keep the back of the dress looking neat. - More detailing came off the dress throughout the day, bits I didn't get time/wasn't able to secure the night before. I couldn't do anything about that as I wasn't willing to spend any more time away from my guests to sew bits back onto my dress. - There was a sewing needle in one of the underskirts of the dress with purple thread attached no idea why this happened, there was no purple on my dress so it made no sense. I found it when I lifted the skirt so I could get across the room to greet some guests and it went straight into my hand. I spent the next 20 minutes in the bathroom with my bridesmaids trying to clean the blood off my dress, my hand and find plasters to cover the lovely hole in my hand. - When I went into the store to return the slip I hired the women who I told about this could not have cared less. She insisted she pressed itself and there was nothing wrong with it when she did that, and changed the subject. No apology, no acknowledgement, nothing. Horrible way to treat a customer. I sent an e-mail to Waltons with photographs of the issues with my dress I have included some of them below, unfortunately I didn't get a chance to document everything but then again more photos wouldn't have made a jot of difference to the way I have been treated to let them know what happened and I got an e-mail back from someone I had never spoken to before; I was told the manager of the Newcastle store would call me to discuss this 'soon'. I got a call 2 days later which I missed so I was left a short voicemail saying I needed to ring them back. Nothing better than chasing an apology, right? No bride should have to go through this on their wedding day. There is enough stress and worry as it is without your dress adding to it. I wouldn't recommend this place to any bride, and everyone at my wedding who knew about the issues I was having won't be recommending them either.
Popped in today to enquire about prices of menswear. I was greeted by friendly staff and the shop was spotless. By far the tidiest store I have visited and the suits were immaculately displayed. I will definitely be returning with my groom to show him and I know he'll be as impressed as I am. I also popped upstairs to book an appointment to try dresses too and again greeted by lovely staff and a great selection of dresses. Can't wait to try some on.. if I am this impressed now I know my suits/dress will be a success.
Used Waltons for my wedding suits and the service was amazing. Due to the two families living so far apart we found it hard to get a time and date we could all go in but the Waltons team were great and very accommodating. Suits looked great and the customer service was even better.
Love this shop. Went in to look at the sale dresses and the store girl was so helpful she picked up a dress I hadnt even noticed. Which ended up being my perfect wedding dress. I tried on 4 other dresses and left the one she had chosen till last. It fit perfect, looked amazing, never slept all night when I got home and went back the next day to pay for it. They kindly said they would keep it in store for me till nearer the wedding day and will pay for it to be cleaned and arrange for someone to come and do the alterations in the store for me. I would, and have already, recommended this shop to others. Perfect location in Newcastle. Reasonable prices. No pressure to buy. Definitely give this shop a try, you wont be disappointed at all.
Waltons have been fantastic from start to finish. This has been a long journey due to Covid-19 and having to changes dates etc and the ladies at Waltons have been amazing. Very understanding and flexible. Also great in the store with my 2 boys. Cant recommend them highly enough!
I didn't feel welcomed by two of the staff when I picked up my suit, I tried the suit on and it wasn't even close to fitting me. Asking for an alternative size made the staff almost annoyed and from then on it felt like they were doing my a favour. The shop seemed unorganised and that made me feel uneasy, that mixed with two of the staff members being unhelpful made me feel uncomfortable. As an example, I tried on different sizes of jackets, once we found the right size I handed it back assuming someone would immediately hang it up or put to one side. When I came out of the changing room there was a different staff member there and I asked if they had put the jacket I just tried on to one side. The staff member didn't know where it was and picked a jacket off a pile of jackets which looked exactly the same and asked if this was the one. I had no idea and neither did she. The shop is littered with similar items of clothing, all in the same style, based on how unorganised it was I couldn't help but think something was going to get mixed up and the wrong size included in error. There was one older lady who I think could sense how uneasy I felt and actually went out of her way to reassure me that everything would be sorted, or that she could get me a different size. If it wasn't for the older lady I would have gave this place less of a rating. Thankfully the suit fit when it come to wear it and seemed in good shape however I would recommend the staff try and go the extra mile for customers. Simply showing up to work isn't good enough, you have to apply a little bit of customer service.
Me and my friends went to Moss Bros and the customer service was awful so we left. Walton's were fantastic and so professional. 6 happy gentlemen, got our suits ready for my mates wedding.
