I wish I could give a minus 100 because I do not want to recall my experience with this pharmacy . Very confused staff who do not know what they are doing . Had a prescription for my 4 year old and it had 2 options after doc said the first drug he preferred had been scarce but it would be better if I get that one. At first staff said the drug strength was not written so I needed to call the doc who was at L&D how much strength it had to have. I asked them to tell me exactly what I was supposed to ask for then they wrote a number of drugs on a paper and how they wanted me to get it rectified. Another staff told me i needed to go back to L&D hospital to get this done . I then drove back and luckily found the doctor still doing appointments in a different department . To my surprise doc showed me this drug on a national NHS drug list without an option meaning it was the only nasal spray for a 4 year old and there were no other options . That meant that it did not need to be specified in terms of strength. However because of the trouble doc asked me to call them if they had his first option and they said they did over the phone so he cancelled the other option as they had asked me and put the mmg though it was not even necessary. I went back and these inconsiderate bunch told me they could not give me again because the other option was cancelled and hence prescription needed two signatures. They tried to explain nonsense to me and I just told them off. Again they don’t know what they are doing and I feel this was discrimination because of my skin color . I went to a different pharmacy with the same prescription and did not even take me 5 minutes to get my son’s nasal spray . I wish there was an option for a minus 100 for this review. They did not care that I had to drive back to Luton and dunstable hospital and try to find the doctor . This is some level of cruelty.
I have used this chemist for many years and yes there a few delays sometimes but they are tiny chemist and there patient list is huge when I go in there hundreds of prescriptions that require to be delivered in boxes waiting to be delivered give them a break they are dealing with customers dropping prescriptions collecting and delivering they are always helpful I’ve never had a issuenGive them a break people they are doing long hours to provide the community appreciate the fact that we have a pharmacy that opens 7 days a week and are open until late in the evening
Main issues here are space- the table where you are served is right as you go in, this means to go in you can end up queuing outside. It is cramped and all customers waiting are on top of each other. This also means there is no privacy to discuss concerns unless you want a whole queue of people to know about it as well. You also have to share your address and details with other customers listening. This needs to be sorted out with better use of the space , should have privacy when discussing personal information and not have to queue outside. The place also looks a bit of a mess with prescriptions everywhere, staff are tripping over that and each other.
Amazing team, who are very kind and compassionate. The team stayed open for us until the very last minute of their opening hours to allow us to collect desperately needed antibiotics for a very poorly loved one. Thank you so much
The staff here are very friendly and helpful and the pharmacist is great, however the space has now become too small for the amount of customers they have and it often takes a long time for them to find your prescription among the many they have prepared as organisation is lacking. You can literally just step inside the door and that's where you have to wait as the rest of the pharmacy where you could once walk and browse is now needed to store prescriptions and stock.
