Comfortable hotel, centrally positioned. Very modern decor, rooms tending to be dark. Not my personal taste, but spotless.nBreakfast excellent, everything you could ask for. Reception staff friendly, as was all the staff we encountered.nThe big downside for this hotel is the car parking, about 12 spaces costing 20 quid, then it's over to the multi storey. Well positioned in central Stratford.
Visited last weekend with my husband. Struggled to find the entrance to the suggested car parks. Felt quite stressful as our arrival time coincided with busy Saturday traffic so make sure you're well prepared. We had to drive several laps before we found one very tight space remaining. Once checked in, the receptionist gave us a very warm welcome. Room was spacious and felt very clean. Only fault was that there were quite a few marks on the walls and chipped paint. It's a bit of a bug bear when it's a dark wall and there's white chunks so noticeable. Shower was very temperamental, couldn't move it slightly either way otherwise it would scald or freeze you. The water pressure was a bit underwhelming. View was of the public car park unexpected perk as I forgot to lock the car and could do so from the room. Great location however. Within a short walking distance from the main shopping/ restaurant area. Would definitely stay again but would maybe try a different room.
The hotel itself is lovely, very clean and tastefully decorated. I believe the hotel is aiming at a more luxury feel. We were very disappointed however about what was not included, especially given the cost! We expected car parking, albeit were aware it is limited. We discovered on route to the hotel after navigating an unclear website and unable to get through to anyone on the telephone that we would have to pay an extra £23 for carparking for one night! We opted to pay a far cheaper very local car park. I also understood that we had a breakfast included for the cost, again upon arrival I was informed we had only paid for a room. The breakfast was another excessive addition. You expect these additions at more 'budget' hotels, but with this cost and feel I expect parking and breakfast included. Also small but frustrating things like customer service, I attempted to reach someone by telephone prior to the booking twice, no answer.nThe hotel is undoubtedly clean and finished to a high standard, however I wouldn't return as I don't feel the hotel is being transparent in it's pricing and when all is included, it seems excessive for what it is.
We stayed for 3 nights we our dog and we also had a dinner at the restaurant. Great hotel in the town centre. Superior standards of the rooms and of the facilities. The coffee corner had also decaf, tea, biscuits and chocolates. Apart for the coffee machine and kettle. Iron/board, hairdryer, safe box and fridge. A big mirror in the toilet would have been appreciated. Something to say about the cleaning service as we had to ask for the second towel set On the second day the double was replaced with a single set and on the breakfast. They were overly pushing with the order for the kitchen although we arrived at the beginning of the service. We ended up with dirty plates they didn’t removed them until the end when the food arrived and we were still enjoying our croissant and yogurt. That was definitely annoying. Big thanks to the room ladies for the immediate response to our requests. The set menu at the restaurant is definitely too much in terms of portions and wine glasses.
Stayed just one night in November. All staff were very attentive and welcoming. Beautiful, well presented room, and spotlessly clean. The restaurant was superb, menue, food, service and ambience. A great short break, with plenty to do and see in the town.
