Just had the worse service and lunch ever! Don't normally comment however bad food I can deal with but service... No! Walk in 3 adults 2 kids and instantly scowled at... Gave choice of seat... To then twice be encouraged to the back because we had children Family restaurant?? I think not! STARTER.... 2 people had tomato and roast pepper soup... More like a pasta base sauce and sickening, both agreed. MAINS....2 had chicken and bacon pie... More like carbonara sauce with chicken salty and so much garlic funny how carbonara was their pasta of the day!! I like my grub and couldn't eat this.... My sister had chicken tempura which was cold in the middle too... Asked if all was ok to which I explain our findings... No apologies...explanation or customer service, both staff walked away. Came to pay bill and service was dry and no acknowledgement of how our lunch went. Felt unwelcome and meals were horrible....local pub grub I think not!
Got the pate to start was ok. Fish and chips as a main was lovely and caramel shortcake sundae to finish was lovely but portion was small. Inside its gorgeous and staff are lovely.
Food delicious on Christmas Day. Service not too good, with very limited information from manager. Waited over an hour to be presented with menu, even though dinner was booked for 16.30. Quality of food made up for delay.
This was my first and last time staying the night at this hotel, rooms are shabby, mould in the corner, paint peeling, carpets filthy, bedding cheap, the quilt I would use for my dogs, very dated, shared bathroom! Bathroom filthy, toilet a disgrace, cracked tiles on the floor, hairs in sink and on toilet seat, very old and dated, I can honestly say this was a shocking night!
Food excellent. Staff friendly. Room clean, warm and comfortable. Great value for money. Would stay there again.
Capos was very good, food was lovely and the hotel was very clean and tidy. Only thing missing was atmosphere it was very quiet with no music.

If I can get out of Livingston soon I'll be there later... can't fault food or staff, drivers treated with respect.
