A good location as only a short walkable distance to the centre of Birmingham. The staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival. Rooms basic but clean and would benefit from repainting. Was not happy with paper disposable cups on the hospitality tray. The bathroom also needed redecorating but the shower was adequate with plenty of hot water. Did not try the breakfast.

Car park very small, managed to fit in, just, at half three. Check in staff were helpful, although told us Sunday breakfast was served 6am til 9am,in fact it was from 7am until 11am. The room had artex on walls and roof, possibly a little too much white artex for my liking. We had a room with disabled access for the bathroom, although no door on the bath, no hoist for wheelchair users and a mirror much too high for anyone in a wheelchair to use. Not a problem for us but incredibly annoying for someone else. The cupboard door was absent, three plug points inconveniently placed and shared with the room appliances. Comfy bed, clean sheets, although other than that about as welcoming as a prison. Made it into the bar area for breakfast at 7am. Unlimited breakfast was actually unlimited continental, with an option for a plate of full English. The Campanile on Northampton offers both continental and full English options as a self service, a much nicer way to eat, why can't it be the same in Birmingham? Restaurant staff abrupt, food of OK quality.

Cheap amd cheerful. Ok rooms but showing their age. Could feel springs in bed, shower extractor very noisy at night and lights from car park showing through window at night. Good location to get into city center.

Generally a reasonable place to stay. Ok some things are not perhaps as good as they could be and the rooms are a little dated. However the place served its purpose. The staff are very friendly, the meal I had in the restaurant was great. The room service was good, cleaned and tidied daily. The bed was comfortable. As said previously, the hotel served its purpose. I got a good rate comoared to other hotels in the area some of which are way overpriced.

This is a very tired and dated hotel. Whilst the hotel foyer and bar seemed to have enjoyed some tarting up the rooms are in a state. It is clean, yes but the decor is poor, wood chip wallpaper, tatty furniture, yellowed light shades. Bathroom clean but bath is small and no towel rail? It is cheap and parking is free and it's close to the centre but don't expect comfort. Bed linen was clean but the matress was awful and dipped in the centre. I wouldn't use it again.
