Tarka dal was only food cooked without sugar and tasted good. I also ordered Sag Paneer and I had lump of sugar. One thing restaurant people don't get it is that you can cook food without sugar. Sag Paneer tasted rubbish. Don't order this. Rice was cooked well. Price wise little higher than it stated online menu.
Absolutely incredible takeaway. The best Indian food that I've ever had, my wife doesn't normally like it but she absolutely loved it too. We will do be using again and will have our traditional Christmas Eve take out from them. Everything was cooked to perfection, the vindaloo I had was amazing, very very flavoursome.
DONT USE IF VEGETARIAN OR FOOD ALLERGY. Ordered vegetarian curry as main dish, contained beef was not aware until starting eating as I covered in rice, been violently sick. Asis was rude and said it is impossible, I will swear on oath in court of law it did, contacting trading standards on monday, he was rude and offensive. Dread to think what happens in their kitchen.
Delicious menu and ready in good time with a very friendly service. Butter chicken the real star of the show. And I love that they volunteered to provide meals at Andover hospital during the pandemic too. Can't wait to try more soon!
I have been ordering food from Hot Spice since I was a child. They never disappoint. Always kind and accommodating, the staff are amazing and the food is delicious. Aziz who works front-of-house is always friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend enough!
I love this takeaway they are always very cheery and helpful and always take the time to go through any dietary requirements a d will even cook things from scratch if you are really concerned and are very polite and accommodating about it. They have a really good health rating and the chefs oftnw come out with a big smile to present your order and call you by name. Aziz is always super helpful and kind and gives great service and is nice company while you are waiting.
Spectacular lamb tikka biriyani - wish I'd tried a few more things from the menu! Quite busy but food rapidly made and interior quite spacious take away pick up area
Was very nice, but the Balti didn't taste anything like a Balti. Like it had no Balti paste, was more a curry and the little chicken it had was nice, but to fill it with onion I may aswell ask for an onion Curry. The Massala was very nice tho as was the Sag aloo, Aziz also gave me extra coriander which was appreciated but will I go again for that I'm not sure. It's hard to give a fair rating as it was nice but it wasn't a chicken tikka Balti at all....in Taste or as in Chicken. Also buying 2 mains and a side and not automatically being asked if I'd be Interested in purchasing the deal for 2 at less and extra dishes was a massive downer to me after seeing the deal after paying already, a heads up would've been done anywhere else I eat at.
Truly amazing takeaway, there food is amazing. Have been using them for years, have got to know the chef's there over the years, they cook the most excepitnal Indian quisine. If you want a nice restarunt then yes the blue ginger is good, but if it is takeaway you are after you won't beat the hot spice. New guy Aziz at front of house now. Lovely guy, very helpful.
We ordered from their website which was handy and then picked it up. The staff were friendly and the food was tasty so would recommend
