I had my day surgery at the Horton Hospital Gynaecology Day Care Unit and I can honestly say the staff were exceptional from start to finish.nnFrom the moment I arrived, Karen, my nurse, was incredibly kind and gentle. I was feeling very anxious about the procedure, but she instantly made me feel calm, safe and cared for. The young lady from the anaesthetic team came to speak with me before the procedure — she was so lovely, explaining everything clearly and reassuringly. One of the surgeons, Gordana, also came to introduce herself and talk me through what would happen. She was warm, caring and professional, which helped me feel completely at ease.nnWhen I woke up in recovery, the team there were just as kind and attentive. Back on the ward, I was once again looked after beautifully by Karen and Rose, the ward sister. They couldn’t have done more for me — so compassionate, patient and genuinely caring.nnIf it hadn’t been for these wonderful people, I would have felt very frightened, but their kindness and professionalism made all the difference. They are an absolute credit to the hospital, and we are truly lucky to have such dedicated staff caring for patients.nThank you .
Nurses conversing in Indian while over a Patient. They work and live in UK. Should speak English. Had one Muslim male nurse bending over me 2am threatening me !!!!!!nAirco in EAU is so loud it's impossible to sleep. Staff are noisy in the night. They gave false testimony on discharge and someone blatantly lied to my daughter on phone. Saying I had AGREED to be discharged without Ixygen of home isit nurse !!!! Simply not true !!! I'm not so stupid to turn down them. I have Pulmonary Sarcoidosis. Chronic Lung Deasesse !!!!!! Of coarse i need Oxygen.nBasically there is a lot seriously wrong with this hospital and needs to be sorted out and quick. Male nurse needs reporting immediately!!!
I would just like to express my appreciation of the Horton general hospital.nWords cannot justify how marvelous I was treated there.nThe staff were delightful.nSo kind and thoughtful. My son who has autism and is TERRIFIED of needles went to the day unit for 2 wisdom teeth plus a 3rd & a few fillings. From start to finish every single member of staff was so nice and understanding. From the receptionists to the anaesthetist - special mentions to Rose & Sandra who were great at keeping him calm and reassuring him throughout & special mentions from me to Sandra, thank you for finding me a plug for my phone cable that was type c at both ends - honestly the lengths they go to making sure nothing is a problem for you is second to none. Thank you
