I went to the surgery today and saw a nurse called Chantelle. I have nothing but praise for Chantelle, from the beginning of the appointment to the end. She put me at ease and had a very professional, caring and empathic attitude . Nothing was too much trouble. If I could give Chantelle more stars I would. She is great.
I have had good service with the doctors surgery, ask myGp booking/messaging service has all worked well. When I got bitten by a dog the nurse saw me that day, when I messaged regarding other issues the doctor has phoned me or I have received a message.
They are operating a same day only appointment service, this they say is what the NHS are recommending. If you look at what the Health secretary stated it is not the case at all. What they state is that urgent appointments should be available that day, but that an appointment should be available within 2 weeks. Something this practise now refuses to do.nThey should be caring for their patients, not doing their best to make it impossible for working people to access their services.nAbsolutely appalling.
Ridiculous appointment booking system now in place. Everything done to make life harder for the patients. Three days of trying and still no joy. Told to go to Louth Urgent Care instead. Oh and also told by the receptionist ‘Don’t phone on a Monday, as we are too busy’. Absolute joke.
I’m a therapist in a nursing home & only wish our patient residents were with Horncastle. Very responsive. Ask my GP runs smoothly & queries are responded to very quickly by the reception team which I find reassuring. I’ve had no issues seeking either health guidance or obtaining a doctors appointment. Being dealt with my query via phone or email is excellent. Saving me having to take time off work when busy. The dispensary staff are first class. Despite knowing some of the staff I still get asked DOB & 1st line of address. My meds are always ready on time. Again queries dealt with promptly extra meds for holiday. I was hugely impressed with infection control methods during the covid crisis. Well done team.
